What we were needing
We train dogs professionally, some owners bring their dogs food, we're a State licensed facility and are required to have opened bags of food in containers labeled with the dogs' name, we've been using plastic totes. This will be much easier to open for feeding time and the wheels will be handy for cleaning and off the floor. We can, with smaller bags, put the bag inside the container. We did put the containers along the wall because they appear they could be easily tipped over.
Not big enough
Says 28 qt with a 22lb capacity. Have a 19 lb bag of bird seed that doesn't fit in it. Doing math using conversion factor someone has online after the fact, trying to understand why it doesn't fit, it actually only has a 13.9 lb capacity. Now i have to figure out what to do with a container that is too small... guess i bought a donation item.
Disappointed with quality
Important to note that lids do not stay in upright position when opened, they fall back or forward while you are trying to get food out. If they fall back, they come off completely even though they are snapped in. Wheels do not snap in, just sit in base. Constantly falling out when rolled. While the bins will definitely keep bugs outs, they are definitely not "airtight" as you can smell the dog food while they are closed/locked. Only thing going for them is the smokey grey color.
I've bought a LOT from Chewy over the years and always been satisfied or beyond. Their Customer Service is top, by far. This is the worst purchase. In my 70;s bought the 55 gallon one with wheels - stayed on for two weeks. Now will not stay on at all so product is useless to me without ease of moving it! If anyone has a secret tip with the wheels, please pass it on. Should have just bought an equivalent size metal trash type bin on wheels.
Bad bad quality
I bought this back in 2019. I used to put 28lb bags of food in it and never wheeled it around. In fact, I never really used it much because I bought a Vital Vault because it fit better where I store the food. Today after I put a spare bag of food in it, one wheel just totally fell apart. A clear plastic rod is what bears the weight and impossible that this container would have ever held up. One should get years and years out of a product like this but this is junk. I would never recommend it. The company should be ashamed of its quality. When I called in to Chewy to see if there was any warranty on it, the woman kind of laughed at me stating I bought it in 2019 as if I should know better. Chewy shouldn’t carry this product.
fits my 20lb bag of dog food great. Rollers make it easy to move around. It’s slightly thin, not as thick as something like rubbermaid.
Excellent but for the lock
I love these things. I had such a problem with ants coming in. They would just invade my dog food bin that rested on the ground. Ants are just a huge problem at my house. Finally, I got rid of my old dog food bin and went with this one. Like a lot of people I don't dump the bag in it I just place the bag in. I bought this solely to keep puppy food in while my puppy is a puppy. I have the larger one for my big dogs (pictured behind the criminal). It's worked for years and no ants. The problem came when the clip that holds the box closed came broken. It was missing the plastic part that hooks it into the grip, I couldn't even find that tiny piece to try hot glueing it. No biggie. My dogs are very food driven and my puppy tried to ride the thing a few times but it never went beyond that. Until today. The criminal pictured figured out how to flip it open and get herself a snack. Again no biggie. I put a heavy soup can on it and she stopped. Well today after I fed her lunch, I didn't put the soup can BACK and she had a good long second lunch before I caught her. Chewy is such a great company they would send me a whole new box but I was hoping I could just find the handle. I don't want to waste that much plastic for something that was just a little broken. I think I'll devise a strap or something. That dang puppy.
ANTS GOT IN!
VERY UPSET! Container is supposed to be AIRTIGHT and I just had to throw away 2 with $250 worth of dog food because ANTS got inside.

This product claims to hold 22 lbs of kibble. It does not. We use Purina One which is a fine grained kibble. Nothing extraordinary. This storage container's actual capacity is more like 20lbs. The plastic is cheap but it serves adequately.
Arrived with damaged lid
Couldn’t attach lid due to broken hinges. Box it was shipped in showed absolutely no signs of damage inside or out. Checked inside for broken pieces but found none. Not happy!
