it's pretty high so make sure you check measurements with your dogs shoulder height. Perfect for my Vizsla that gets reflux at times. I use my own bowls that come close to fitting well in the spots for them. I LOVE that I can store his big box of Honest Kitchen food in the bin..I watch dogs and now they can't obsess over licking the edges of the food box looking for crumbs that spill out. It's not fancy looking but works in my kitchen just fine.
I am so disappointed, while the elevated food & water bowls look fine…until you take the Chewy Tape off. The residue from the tape is stuck on the plastic base & both bowls, it makes the holder & bowls look dirty & nasty. I was so excited to use this with our new rescue dog. I tried everything I could think of to get it off, nothing worked. It looks awful.
This elevated feeding station is a great space saver. I used to have a separate food container for my dog's dry food but after we downsized to a smaller apartment, we didn't have the storage space for it. This doubles as a feeding station and food storage, plus it's the perfect height for our 80 lb lab mix. He is getting older and it is less stress on his body to eat at an elevated height than from a bowl on the ground. Works as described. Would recommend!
it is the perfect height and for my 2 year old belgian malinois, i’ve been wanting to get an elevated feeder for her for the longest time, but it’s been hard finding one for her size. she does not strain her neck at all when eating or drinking water !
I use this when away from home for extended periods. It's the right size for the food and i don't have to worry about taking many pieces for dog's meals. I also have the same "complaint" that the water does spill into the holding area and i'm not sure why /how it happens. My guess is that when the dog slurps water, it spills onto the tray then drips down into the holding area. It is a little inconvenient to lift off the tray (with water in bowl) when feeding time comes, but i just cross the top over the base and scoop out the food.
Ive had this for years now. My old english bulldog is large (in clothes) but apparently not in height, because she has to stand on a textbook to eat comfortably. When she drinks water it splashes underneath the bowl & will mold/mildew, and for this reason I want to replace it.
This is a nice storage and feeding container for my large dogs. Holds 40+ pound bags of dry dog food, lid is tight, and is a nice height to protect their neck/spines when eating. Two stainless steel bowls are great for food and water. Small rubber feet (which are taped to the inside of the lid) keep it from sliding around on tile floors, and the smoke color hides the food inside and is unobtrusive. Would be perfect if the price weren't so high.
I love this feeder but it does not hold anywhere near 47 pounds of food. It does not even hold the 31 pound bag of purina one I get my oldest lab. Other than that, it is great for large dogs.
Love the container and elevated eating area. Though I was disappointed that the bowls were not sent with it container.
I had a food storage container and an elevated feeder but together they took up a lot of space. This solved the problem. Only negative is that it is not completely airtight. Its fine for us since we keep it in the house but I wouldnt recommend storing outside. Lid locks but feels a bit loose so might lead to pests.
