Top doesn't stay snapped down!
This is my second box like this. My first one lasted 2 yrs before it started leaking litter in the back and sides, because over time the snap closures got warped or old, I guess. I got a new one in October because it fits our nice litterbox enclosure. This one comes unsnapped every time our cat Levon uses the boxes. He's big, but this shouldn't happen. Litter and sometimes urine leak between box and lid. I'm unhappy because I have to buy another new box. This is heavy plastic and terrible for the environment, so I resisted buying yet another new box but I have to clean up litter every morning. I love Chewy, could you please look into this? It seems others are experiencing the same problems. A formerly decent box is no longer well-made. Thanks!
Less Litter Mess
I replaced one of my cheap litter boxes with this one with walls since I wanted less litter being scattered out of the box. I have an enclosed litterbox with a top entry hole but I noticed my cats liked the open-topped one better. This product has a nice scatter shield that leaves a gap in the so cats who are elderly or prefer side entry can get in easily. My only quip is that the scatter shield kind of sits neatly on top of the box and is fairly stable, but it is not really clipped in in any way. It's more like a cover in the sense that if you flipped it over the shield would fall off as its not clicked in.
it’s cheap for a reason
The fact that the design of the surface are not flat but instead inward on the four corns make cleaning it daily few times more difficult then their other litter boxes. Do not recommend
Would not buy
I got this litterbox because my cat tends to aim a little high when he pees, and to help keep litter in the box. It's pretty good about keeping the sand in the box, but due to the seam connecting the shield to the base, when my guy pees above the seam it leaks to the outside of the box. I was hoping there would be internal overlap to prevent this problem.
Great Litter Box
I have an 18 yr old kitty and she is also blind. She doesn’t take to change very easily. I was hesitant to get this box, but I eventually did and I am so happy I purchased it. She went right in and gets in all the way versus halfway out with her old box. I think it also helps that it’s open too.
Did the job.
The bottom has a raised ridge that makes it hard to scoop the litter, as well as two small corners in the front that is hard to scoop. The high sides kept litter from being scattered everywhere.
great box to use with litter box liners
I needed a box that I could use with litter box liners AND that had high sides to help prevent our teen kitten from slinging litter everywhere. This box fits the bill perfectly! Just ordered 2 more...
great litter box
This is the purrfect solution for my cat who loves to toss litter out of the box. She took to it without hesitation, the shield is stable and does the job.
Disappointed
The interior has ridges and troughs in it. Can't see what function they have. Hard to clean.
Smaller than expected
Sturdy litter box but it was smaller than I expected but my kitties still use it & the high sides definitely stop them from kicking the litter out of the box.
