Huge design FAIL

You would think a company who makes litter boxes would make them easy to scoop. But noooooo.... See the indentations on the front of the box? There is no way to get a litter scoop in those little recesses and of course, the front of the box is where they like to do their business. And... if you have one who sprays high (hence, the need for the high sides), the urine ends up on the lip between the box and shield. It's disgusting. And... a 10-lb cat somehow broke a huge chunk of the shield off on the second day, maybe by climbing in this way? This litter box is an absolute piece of junk. I do NOT recommend.

THE PEE WAITS FOR YOU AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX

I quit using Pretty Litter after two times of dumping the dirty litter, cleaning the boxes and installing new litter. It was a lot more nasty work than using a good quality hard-ball clumping litter. Pretty Litter sucks all the moisture out of the poop so that's easy to scoop out and get rid of it. So where is all the pee going? It goes straight to the bottom of the box and gets wetter and moldy and stinky until you change the litter. I had to scrape the heavily wet litter with a putty knife. And it was very difficult to clean the dirty wet litter particles out of the box. If it wasn't winter time, I would've taken the box outside and sprayed the dirty litter out with the garden hose. So I am going back to clumping litter that makes hard balls of the pee. It's so much easier.

Large box, but there are issues

I was replacing 2 boxes and thought the size was a good idea, well, it takes more litter to fill than my last boxes. Also as in other reviews the bottom is not flat and the front of the box has indents that make it very difficult to clean. The lids are not snap on they are not secure, luckily my cats do not move them around, but it does not help to keep the litter inside. the description does not mention the uneven surface of the bottm.

Works, but on the smallish side

These litter boxes are great - except I wish they were bigger. Smooth bottom for easy cleaning. The top locks in so it won't get knocked off but can be removed. It does keep litter inside. The scoop is nothing special. I wish it was bigger though. My cats are 9 and 11 months old, average size, and they just barely fit in these. If they grow any bigger they will not fit comfortably inside.

Not the greatest

I bought two of these and the main issue is that the shield does not snap on securely, or at all really. It just sort of sits there. As a result, my kitties can push it off as they’re wiping their paws. There are way better versions of this kind of litter box out there.

Poorly made

I bought this litterbox in hopes it would help with cats kicking litter out of the box. Unfortunately the top isn't secured onto the box in any way. So the top is constantly falling off, especially when my cats jump in or out of the box or anytime they start scratching inside the box. Don't waste your money on this litterbox.

Works for Anxious Cat

Our cat is very anxious litter box user. She needs a magic combination of privacy, yet being able to see everything around her or she won't go inside. This is a perfect balance. She can feel safe, yet she can see any "threats" around her. She also will spray sometimes as she hops in and out, and the seams haven't let anything through. Highly recommend!

A Good Idea, But...

We had to send it back. The box is small (measurements sounded OK, but our Bianca clearly felt cramped. The snap-on walls are effective, so that was a plus. The biggest drawback, however, is that the bottom surface is ridged, not smooth. Cleaning was a pain. We might try another brand/style, but for now we are back to our low-sided larger box. Five stars to Chewy for lovely response to our request for a return!!!

Base needs to be flat

I liked the size and the higher walls my only complaint would be I wish the bottom was completely flat. The edges are elevated a little so it makes scooping a little more difficult because things get stuck in those areas.

Pretty Decent

I love the tall sides. I wish the box was bigger though, it's a tight fit for my cat who is a bit larger than most. I think a redesign of the bottom would be helpful as well. it isn't completely flat , there are groves which doesn't make sense since you are having to scrape the bottom as you are scooping. can't get a complete scrape down there due to the groves. Hope that makes sense.
