Description

Your furry friend must have a current heartworm test result on file with your veterinarian in order to be prescribed heartworm medication. Please visit your veterinarian to have this test performed annually to protect your four-legged friend. Help protect your pet from pesky pests with Iverhart Max Soft Chews. These soft chews are formulated to help prevent heartworm disease and can also help treat and control the other three most common worms—roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms. This broad-spectrum medication helps to provide safe and effective year-round protection when given monthly and is intended for dogs 8 weeks or older weighing 12.1 to 25 pounds. To top it all off, it has a drool-worthy bacon flavor that your dog will love.

Uses

Used to prevent heartworm disease by eliminating the tissue stage of heartworm larvae for a month (30 days) after infection and for the treatment and control of roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms.

Possible Side Effects

Please contact your veterinarian if the following adverse reactions occur: depression/lethargy, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea, mydriasis, ataxia, staggering, convulsions, and hypersalivation.

Drug & Food Interactions

Talk to your veterinarian about any other drugs your pet is taking before starting this medication.

Precautions

All pets should be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting treatment, which is not effective against adult heartworm. Infected pets must be treated to remove adult heartworms and microfilariae before initiating a program with this medication. While some microfilariae may be killed, this medication is not effective for microfilariae clearance. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of ingestion, contact your physician immediately. Physicians may contact a Poison Control Center. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.

    Disappointed

    By on

I bought these so my dog would take them thinking they were soft. .They are NOT soft. She didnt seem to even like the flavor. Cut them up put in Peanut Butter that she loves and she ate some and left some just eating peanut butter. Put pieces in cheese, she ate some and ate around some in the cheese as well. It was a fight to get her to finish it. Thank goodness this is only given monthly. Hopefully they will make some that are REALLY soft.

    Vet recommended

    By on

My vet said this product was as good as the much more expensive competing brands with the same active ingredients. And I was happy to save so much money ordering from Chewy versus buying direct form the veterinarian. Keep up the great work Chewy. We love you!

    She ate it!

    By on

I was a little worried she would not eat these since the previous ones I had were a small tablet that she took with no problem. But, when I give her any sort of vitamin that resembled these chews, she won't eat it. I gave her the first one and she gobbled it up without a problem or coaxing. Yeah!
