There is a port of some kind next to the power switch, but nothing on the packaging that indicates what it’s for. Any ideas?

The port houses the screws to open the battery compartment.

Birthday present for my cat

At first I did not think he was going to play with it but it wasn't long before he was playing with it. For the price wish it moved a little better. He did finally play with it

Excellent Toy

I purchased this for my 12 year old Siamese and he absolutely loves it. It is his go to toy. He is always playing with it. I am so glad I found this because I wanted something to keep his attention.

GREAT CAT TOY = Even for Senior Cats

When I first saw this toy in action - I loved it, but was not sure if my senior cat would find it amusing. He is now an indoor only cat but loved to chase butterflies (moths) when he played outside. Upon arrival of toy I installed batteries, set it down and it was a hit! Butterfly moves just like a live one with inconsistent fluttering movements. It stops, pauses, and starts up again. Fully unpredictable! He loves to watch then pounce towards globe. To conserve battery life, toy operates for 1-1/2 minutes (still and flutters) and then stops until either a human or feline nudges ball and it starts up again. A TOTAL HIT! Totally recommend it!!

Don't buy not worth the cost.

Don't waste your money. We have 2 cats and they had a little interest for the first 5 minutes. Then no interest after that.

Don’t Waste Your Money

I bought two of these, one for a friend and we both experienced the same thing. I expected a more “interactive” response. However, once it was started, it grabbed their attention, and they sat in front of it and watched for a second, turned their back and plucked a leaf from one of my plants to play with. Nada! Zilch! Save your bucks!

Was a bit disappointed

I have a cat that has extra energy and needs to burn it off otherwise he's a bit of a jerk to our other cats. I was hoping this toy would be another interactive way for him to expend energy. Unfortunately the butterfly doesn't move much at all as it's right against the plastic globe so he lost interest quickly.

The Technology could use some work

I bought this from the Jackson Galaxy website. I believe before it was sold at Chewy. The thing didn't last very long and the moving part seized and will not move. I paid more than I wanted to for this thing but was hopeful we would get some good use out of it. It didn't even last a month.

My cat unimpressed

I purchased it because my cat does like toys that move, but this one didn't work out. She sniffed it a few times then completely lost interest. It stung a bit considering the price tag.

Cute toy, but pricey.

Nice idea - the little butterfly flutters around inside the globe. It interested my 5 cats for about 5 minutes. I guess, as a consumer, I'm really just paying for the "Jackson Galaxy" name. Note to self: celebrity names attached to pet toys do not mean the toys will be used by the pet. Hard lesson.

The butterfly gets stuck against the bubble wall and it's hard to keep it moving.
