Want to give your indoor cat the thrill of the outdoor hunt? Jackson Galaxy's Butterfly Ball provides kitty with mentally stimulating entertainment that mimics hunting outdoors. Through sensor-activated action, kitty sets the butterfly fluttering within the ball, encouraging her natural instincts to observe and track prey. The realistic fluttering keeps her engaged while the weighted base provides a fun wobble. Designed for indoor use only.
Weighted base provides a fun wobble.
Sensors trigger the butterfly to flutter.
Movement keeps cats engaged for hours.
Butterfly Ball requires 3 AA batteries (not included).
Bought for a friend's foster kittens. She has five beautiful babies and I should of bought five since they all love it. Safe and smart the butterfly is inside the ball so the kittens can not eat it.
Butterfly’s wouldn’t lift

Good concept but the butterfly’s would lift in the air. The air that blows them wasn’t strong enough to lift the weight of butterfly’s.
A bust. :(

I should have read the review, but I really excited to get a Jackson Galaxy toy, and it looked so cute. I couldn't get my cat to touch this even with catnip sprayed on it, and that is her to-die-for. Basically everything said in previous reviews. Cat won't so much as look at, the butterfly is smashed against the plastic and hardly moves. I have a pretty pricey paperweight. :(

This toy is a GREAT concept and my cat loved it for the 30 seconds it was in once piece. Within 30 seconds of opening and giving my cat the toy he broke it. The plastic dome just shattered. So I went and replaced it at the pet store same day. The exact same thing with #2 now I’ll add my cat is big 15 lbs but still I feel like this should be designed better with stronger glue and much more pet friendly...
If this was actually made to last it would be an amazing toy.

Awesome cat toy for my kitten, but he broke It on the first day, any way to fix it ? Thanks

My two cats like this item at first, but the butterfly is basically pinned up against the plastic which makes it hard for it to fly around. It’s does move and they go crazy over it when it does, but it would move around more freely if the wire on the butterfly was bent more inwards to avoid any interference with the plastic globe. Unfortunately there is no way to open it to correct it. I would’ve sent it back if I didn’t throw the box out. At the time I thought that’s how it should be until I examined it a few days later and noticed how it was being blocked from moving freely.
The hype was not worth it

It's a cool concept, but expensive. We bought the toy for my dad's kitten, cause she needs more stimulation. We put the batteries in, the butterfly fluttered for one second and that was it. One second each time the ball moved. Needless to say, the kitten wasn't interested neither were the two fully grown cats. My mom feels like she wanted her money.
great toy My cat loves the butterfly ball

This toy was amusing to my cats for about five minutes. When the battery died after a few months, the battery compartment spring was completely rusted and the toy became unusable.

This toy is pretty fun.. the cat is pretending that she doesn't like it.. but I do catch her swatting it every once in a while (which activates the butterfly to flitter around inside the ball).
