Description

Help your best friend control his licker with Jackson Galaxy Solutions Obsession Pet Solution. This formula is designed to help relieve his obsessive-compulsive behaviors, including excess licking, scratching, chewing, pacing or over-vocalization, as well as the emotional distress related to allergic skin irritations and hot spots. Like all Jackson Galaxy Solutions, Obsession is formulated with a proprietary blend of up to 21 flower essences under the guidance of a holistic veterinarian and Jackson himself. This product works best as part of a more holistic program that may include proper veterinary care, diet, behavior modification and other holistic modalities.

Key Benefits
  • Gentle herbal solution helps relieve licking, scratching, chewing and other obsessive-compulsive behaviors as well as emotional distress related to allergic skin irritations and hot spots.
  • Formulated by Jackson and a holistic veterinarian using a proprietary blend of flower essences.
  • Works best when included as part of a complete holistic health and wellness program.
  • Safe for use on all pets and with all other supplements and medications, including anesthesia.
  • Easy to administer–add to food or water, mist into the air with a spray bottle, apply to a favorite toy or simply let the drops fall onto the fur or paws.
Precautions

Jackson Galaxy Solutions are not meant to interfere with or replace the advice or treatment of your veterinarian. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes.

Instructions

There are several ways to give Jackson Galaxy Solution to animals, but no matter which method, always do this first: Tap the bottom of the bottle against the palm of your hand (or shoulder, or other surface) approximately 5 – 10 times before administering. This activates the essence formula and should be done each time immediately prior to administering.

Put a few drops in your hand, rub hands together and pet your animal’s head, body, ears, and/or paws. Add 3-5 drops to water and food (Remember more drops does not equal better results) Use our optional spray top to mist a room, carrier, bedding, car interior, litterbox area, stall, trailer, or other specific problem area. Misting the house or apartment is a great way to treat the whole household. (Do not mist the animal directly!) Apply a few drops to or mist a favorite toy. If they resist touch, let the drops fall directly on fur, top of paws, etc. Jackson Galaxy Solutions are not like medicines or drugs and need not be swallowed: once the drops contact the animal, they are doing their job. In this vein, your animal companion should think of receiving the formula as a good thing, so don’t try to force it by giving it to them orally – stressing your friend out while administering the essences will only serve to undermine our intent.

Dosing Guidelines

We recommend starting with 3 - 4 times a day, for 2 weeks. Once improvement is established, usually within 2-4 weeks, you can wean the animal off by gradually decreasing the frequency of administration: adding a few drops to the drinking water along with a once-a-day administration will probably be adequate. Some animals may need to remain on essence treatment long term, and some may see resolution very quickly. We have found that most animals will benefit from long-term administration of a maintenance solution.

    Doesn’t work for my cat.

    By on

I’ve been trying this on my Adult Cat for over 2 weeks now and her behavior hasn’t changed at all; she’s consistently a very vocal feline and very loud while she’s doing it. I’ve done what the instructions recommend and have tried it in her water, rubbed it into her skin/fur and nothing seems to work for her.

    OCD helper

    By on

I don't know how long you have to use it until you notice a change. My dog has seasonal allergies and I think he has OCD when it comes to chewing on his paws. I can't tell if it is helping since his allergies are active right now.

    She's better

    By on

This seems to have calmed down her obsessive licking quite a bit. I am surprised that she doesn't mind the taste. I put 4 drops in her water and in her soft food and she hasn't seemed to notice. I also put it on my hand and pet her. She smells my hand but she's ok with the med. So far, so good.

    It works!!!

    By on

We started using this last year and the year before, because 2 of our girls were kicking all of the fur on their bellies and tails off. They actually stopped the stress grooming. I did add it to their water and food. I have to start using it again, because 2 of my girls are at it again and their bellies are lacking some fur. It takes time to work and I'm sure every cat is different, just like all people. Some may take longer to stop licking.

Bye Bye bald spot-when using as a trio

    By on

My cat has been a licker for a long time. Of course she had been seen by the vet, lives in a multi cat household but everyone gets along and all stay inside. We tried calming agents, pills and a collar that she wore for several months. Although she looked looked cute in it-that wasn't the answer. I couldn't stand all the licking...if I couldn't she couldn't either. It didn't work for us alone, but did along with 2 other Jackson solutions. We use his Skin Soother and Stress Stopper. 3 drops on each side (one on R and one on L) and the Skin Smoother on the spot that was bald. Then I work the sides all over and rub the other area in last. She had licked the hair off her right hip along with thinning My cat has been a licker for a long time. Now my cat also has a thyroid condition she takes medication for and it still worked. The bald spot is gone and her hair is getting fuller again. She is a maine coon mix so the fluffy shows up. We've been able to wean down but have to do it 2 x a day for sure. I went down to once a day, but she started licking again. By using the trio, her hair has come in. I found that I have to make sure to brush her daily, especially the underside (chest and between the front legs). She didn't seem to groom there and she started to get some small mats. Maybe the fur with drops on it doesn't taste good? Anyways, she has hair. I think we're all happier :) … more

So far there has not been any reduction in our cats obsessive licking, but we will continue to give this a bit longer trial.

    Not sure if it works

    By on

My cat kept biting his fur. I was hoping that the Obsession Pet Solution would help. I put it into his food at least twice a day and rub it on his fur. However, my cat still biting his fur, and it didn't seem like he stopped or if the situation has improved. Would not recommend.

I recommend this product for anyone who has a cat that is licking or pulling out fur. This worked within minutes of the very first dose. My cat is much more calm and happy with regular use of this product.
