One of our female cats who we've had since she was a kitten, started spraying last year at the age of 10 for no apparent reason. We tried everything, medications, more litter boxes etc. Eventuality, anti anxiety meds quit working. The couches, beds and walls were all being sprayed. This product was our last ditch effort. After 9 months of using it daily, I can say it's all but cured the problem. She no longer sprays the walls or furniture! She will pee in our sinks or showers 2-3 times a month instead of daily ruining our furniture. We have also been able to cut down her anxiety meds to once a week. One dropper full of this stuff on a little canned food once a day does the trick. The bottle lasts about 3 months. We also use the Stress Stopper formula in our community waterer and all 4 cats seem to be a little more chill. Highly recommend giving this a shot.
I spray this in the air and put some in their water before I leave for work. I work nights and this is when they seem to want to fight or bully each other the most. I also have bought the bully solution for the one cat who is the "Bully" of the bunch. They both work great alone or together. I usually just put the bully solution directly on him. They seem to be a lot calmer with this Safe Space Solution. Thanks Jackson Galaxy!
We used this when introducing our cats for two months. I did not see any positive or negative changes. Plus it is really pricey! It is worth a try if you are all out of options but I can not recommend this product.
I had my doubts, but without a good rubdown of Safe Space and Bully Solution my house is chaos. We went from daily attacks to peaceful naps and limited hostility. Game changer!!!
When I brought home our 12 week old male kitten and introduced him to both of our near 3 year old male cats, of course no one liked each other. After a day or 2 I ordered this and within hours of using it I noticed a difference in their behavior. I put this on my hands and rubbed it on my adult cats' neck area. Then, I also used it with distilled water in a diffuser in the two main rooms. I repeated this about 3-4 times a day. All 3 boys went from hating each other to being loving playmates within 6 days!
I was disappointed that the bottle was defective. I know Chewy would have replaced it but I was so desperate to try it that I cut it with a razor. Pics below. I only use this for one of my cats who has litter box issues. I put it in her wet food every night at dinner. She's also wearing a calming collar and has JG Stress Stopper in one of the water bowls. Dare I say she seems to be doing much better. She does go through spurts though so before I feel comfortable recommending it to others I'm going to hold off until she's used it for a few months.
I really, really wanted this to help with our timid cat, but it really didn't seem to have any effect on her, even when used as directed. :( Sad cat mama.
I tried EVERYTHING for my female cat to stop her marking behavior. I went through 7 area rugs. She did this marking behavior in our multi-cat household for 6 years. I tried the diffusers and sprays and supplements and nothing stopped it. I tried these drops and I place them twice per day on her shoulder and she licks it off. She seems to actually enjoy it and hasn’t marked ONCE In the approximately 10 weeks we have used it. I am thrilled and hope they never stop making it. It’s the best thing in the world for those who love their pet but the pet has a urine marking malfunction. Thank you Jackson Galaxy and thanks Chewy for carrying it!
I rated this right down the middle, as I really don't know if it's the cats or the product. I've tried several different products on my cats and nothing seems to work. Either 1 or both cats get sick or it seems to do the opposite instead of calm, they are marking everywhere, seem agitated, etc. This happens with several types of calming products, so I don't know if it's product ingredients or my cats.
I’ve had good results with other JG liquids, and this was a lifesaver for the adult cat. Product reduced his stress differently than the JG stress relief. It really seemed to boost his confidence. We needed this when we adopted a younger cat. Our adult kitty was bonded with a litter mate for many years and had a hard time adjusting to the new rambunctious fur baby. For us, this product helped exactly as described. Results are best when dosed directly in mouth.
