Hi the 17 in have enough room for a 6 month Maltese with 8 pounds?

To find the most accurate size, we suggest you measure your pet. Have your dog stand and measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail, then add 4 inches to find the length. Next, have your dog sit and measure from the top of the head to the floor, then add 4 inches to find the height.
The size guide says the 19” carrier is 19x13x10, but in the question sessions you’ve stated that it’s 19" L x 10" W x 13" H. Which is accurate? Is it 10” tall or 13” tall?

The 17-in carrier (Small) measures 11.5 inches in height and the 19-in carrier (Large) measures 13 inches in height.
Is there a top entry on this? Easier to get my cat in a carrier if I can place him in through the top versus the side/front

This carrier does not have a top entry. However, this carrier has one side that can be unzipped all the way for easy pet insertion. another side can be unzipped halfway to allow your pet to poke their head out.

Decent bag

I used this bag to transport a cat across the country on an airplane. It fits under the seat which is why I bought this one. It worked fine; my only complaint is that it closes via zipper and it was difficult to keep the cat inside while zipping it up. The zipper is more secure once it’s closed, though.

Carrying Pepper

I have to carry my kitten Pepper back and fourth from 2 houses. I love this carrier, it is the best. My kitten loves it, and is super comfortable for her. So comfortable she sleeps the whole way!

Just Right

Just the right size for Alaska Horizon’s smaller planes. It looks like it’s built well enough to survive the flight but my 8-9 lb Silkie has not an inch to spare. You could fit a 10 lb pet in this if absolutely necessary but no more. It leaves no space to turn around but for a mere 1.5 hour flight it will work.

Kitty Carrier

Love, love, love this carrier. I got the purple and it's beautiful plus my Molly is a good size cat and it's very roomy, soft, comfortable and plenty of openings for great air circulation.

Awesome carrier

Love this carrier, great price and great quality. It is sturdy, and just the right size. You can unzip one side half way so your pets head can be partially out. It has 2 ways to carry it over your shoulder or by the handles. I would highly recommend this product.

Disappointed

Looking for a dog carrier, was excited for this carrier until it arrived. It is made well but the top is only mesh and it caused my puppy to be so scared. She popped into her older carrier but this one she would not stay in. She was so nervous she squeezed out the small window opening. Wish it was stated clearer that the top did not open and the dog would have to enter from the front. This really frightened my puppy. Also this makes closing the carrier harder. Still looking for a carrier. Really hoping puppy will not be scared.

Excited to have a new kitty

Have to get used to new cat in my home. Each cat is a different personality, just like humans. So this should be interesting. Love Chewy because you carry so much more that pet stores closer than home. It is so great to get delivery at my door in two days!

Small carrier

This has a lot of pockets and worked well for my flight. Only issue I had was without adding an extra pad on the bottom it was not very stable and momo got upset when I carried it to her vets. Also the stiff part when she peeded on it got soft in the one corner. Adding a bolstered stuffed pad added stability and she had zero complaints on our flight. Overall it's good. Just not a fan of the bottom insert that came along with it.

Pretty good!!

Carrier is pretty good but i should have bought one a little larger. She figured out how to keep nosing the zipper until it started to open then she just poked her head through and got out!! No problem as we were in the car.
