How do I select my subscription?
You’ll be prompted to select your subscription plan when setting up your device on the free Jiobit App available on Android and iOS. Subscription plans start as low as $8.99/month.
Do I need a Wi-Fi connection?
Jiobit uses multiple wireless signals for location and communication, including Wi-Fi. While a home Wi-Fi connection is not required, by authorizing your Jiobit with your home Wi-Fi you will achieve longer battery life and better alert notifications.
Will Jiobit only work for certain pets?
Because of its incomparable size and weight, Jiobit will work on any pet you can connect it to, but is specifically designed for pets over 4lbs.
How long does the battery last?
Jiobit’s battery learns from your use, and can fit any routine. Under suggested use, Jiobit’s battery can last over 7 days with recommended Trusted Places and Care Teams set up and minimal live-mode usage. Low cellular & Wi-Fi signal strength, as well as extended Live Mode use will negatively affect battery life. Using the supplied charging dock, Jiobit can reach full capacity within 2-3 hours.

Not as good as expected
By Disappointing on Mar 2, 2021
This was disappointing and doesn't function as we had hoped. We live on 40 acres and was looking for a way to track our Livestock Guardian Dog. The battery does not stay charged as was advertised and must be recharged daily. It might function better in an urban area with improved cell signal.

Works well, OK for cats, cell more informative than bluetooth
By RadarPetOwner on Jan 25, 2021
We got a Jiobit about a month ago, and use it with our one remaining pet who goes out of doors. Our cat is medium-sized, but he doesn't seem to mind the Jiobit, which dangles down from his collar. We actually sewed the provided cloth holder to his collar to make it work better - if we tried to attach it directly, using the provided plastic clip, it hung sideways. We also had to loosen the cloth holder a bit to make it easier to slide the Jiobit in and out. A custom secure collar would be appreciated! The system does a good job of reporting when our pet goes outside the 'trusted zone.' It's a little unnerving that there isn't a 'force refresh' button so we can get tracking on demand - you have to wait for the system's regular automatic update reconnects. Possibly the creators were worried that pet owners would keep pressing 'refresh' but our guess is that this would be temporary - the system really does a good job of tracking your pet. The locations look accurate. We were easily able to compare the map to Google Maps and determine that the places our pet went were plausible - no signals from office buildings. One time we though the Jiobit was in error - it made our cat look like he was inside the house. Turns out he was walking across the roof to a back door! More distant tracking with the cellular network works best. We noticed that close-range Bluetooth had some trouble narrowing down location (you would think it would be more accurate). Don't expect to see a move of a few inches, but tens of feet moves always show up. There is a beta Timeline feature allowing you to see the route your pet took. In our case it was really helpful - we discovered that our cat's disappearances from the back yard all went to a single house a few hundred feed away, near a small park. Radar (we named our cat before we got the Jiobit) makes a beeline to that house every few days, and comes back by a direct route. We suspect this is a house that feeds strays. The Timeline feature should definitely be made standard. This is definitely a good tool for peace of mind. … more

Didn't work for us
By Pokie on Jan 17, 2021
The unit was purchased in January 2021 and it didn't work for us. We requested assistance via email (no phone support offered) and tried the suggestions offered to no avail. We purchased a subscription for 2 years and ended up cancelling it and returning the Jiobit. FYI, our cell service is through Verizon and the Jiobit states it works with AT&T and Team Mobile so we think that may have been the problem.

Jiobit really works
By Houndfinder on Jan 18, 2021
I live in the Sierra's in a fairly remote area where people are pretty spread out and finding a lost dog can be quite difficult, especially at night. Several nights ago I took Buddy outside to go to the bathroom without his leash on. Apparently he picked up a smell of some animal and within a few minutes he was gone. Because he was moving fast and it was at night and he was in a forested area where there were not many roads, it took me a while before he stayed in one place long enough for me to catch up with him. After about an hour of searching I finally found him exactly where his location icon said he was. Easy to set up!
By Sherry on Feb 16, 2021
I have a dog who is a big flight risk. Bought this tracker for her. It was easy to set up and easy to get on her collar. Working well so far. I hope I never need it, but am relieved to know she has it if I do!

My curious cat Henry
By Lily on Dec 27, 2020
My cat Henry likes to wander and usually it’s just in our street but recently he was lost for three days. He had gone into some woods and gotten lost. A distant neighbor heard him crying at 3am. Fortunately he had his collar on. This was during my honeymoon while he was under my moms watch and it’s hard to know which one of us was more stressed. After that incident, I purchased a JioBit tracker. Ive been using it for a month now and it has helped immensely. I know the second he leaves property, when he returns, and now I know his usual spots. It brings me comfort to keep an eye on him in case something were to happen or if he went too far. It’s cold out so I figured he was done. I opened the front door and he came right in. If his own will! I didn’t have to chase him! He also has a habit of going under the crawl space of the house. I couldn’t verify if he was there or not before when I would search for him but now I can ring his collar with Bluetooth. Very handy! Ps. It is pretty large on him but after the first five minutes or so he didn’t seem to notice it. … more

My dog has 9 lives
By PeaceOfMind101 on Jan 1, 2021
Kona, my fur baby recently got hit by a car when she got out from the front door being ajar. She was lucky, no broken bones or serious injuries just some bad lacerations that required sutures. $1100 dollars later from an emergency vet clinic here she's recovering great. When she got out I was driving around the neighborhood for at least 20 minutes trying to spot her. If I knew her location I may have been able to prevent her getting hit instead of finding her after the fact. After this ordeal I found Jiobit. The monthly charge was not ideal but unlike the other options this product seems very accurate. I have added a photo of what the app looks like in action. They are even offering a 1 month credit for doing this review. $129 purchase + $12.99 a month tracking = some peace of mind. It's not fail proof in preventing something from happening but definitely gives me the upper hand if she goes for a joy run again. Also theres a "ringer" that you can trigger on the app that does a great job at getting her attention. Nice bonus to the tracking capability. Happy New Year! … more

Great Product
By Kayla on Jan 21, 2021
Jiobit is very efficient and technologically advanced. The charging situation and life of the Jiobit adds to the great quality of the device. Make sure you know how large it is before you buy it though- it can be a bit large or heavy for a smaller pet.

It works perfect!
By Emily on Dec 3, 2020
I got this after my cat disappeared for a week (and returned!) to prevent it from ever happening again. After losing a pet there can be a lot of anxiety with allowing them to return outside, although I know that’s where he’s happiest. So this has been a game changer for my mental health and always knowing he’s safe! If he’s been gone for a while, I just check the tracker to see where he went rather than getting stressed. I recommend using the horizontal pouch for pets so it doesn’t come off! We lost one by using the white clip to attach it.

Great for outdoor cats
By Keri on Dec 26, 2020
I love this for my outdoor cat. I used to worry about where he was and didn’t know when he wanted to come in. I would look out the windows and doors wondering when he wanted to come in the house. Now I’ll know when he’s close to the house so I can let him in, and I can see his whereabouts anytime. Interesting to see what his territory is!
