I bought this to help out my two older dogs both 10 years old. My oldest dog who will be 11 in January has been hit by a car several times prior to me rescuing him. He even broke his pelvis at one point and had Erlichia when I found him. This year he had an allergic reaction to food and is on a low-dose trial of prednisone to help with his allergies. He cannot have any anti-inflammatory medication. He was starting to fall over on walks and slipping and falling in the house. I had to do something to help him out. I tried Joint Max and within 2 weeks, no exaggeration, my boy is running, jumping, leaping, and acting silly! I am very pleased with this product. I would recommend this product for anyone who has a dog with arthritis, aches and pains. … more

  • ZsaZsa loves these

    By on

We were buying the whole ones but ZsaZsa became tired of them even after we crumbled them up. I saw these and thought we'd give it a shot. She loves them! Joint Max has helped our Boxer/Mastiff mix get around much better. She's 12 years old and bounces around like a 6 year old.

  • strong bad smell

    By on

This product smells very awful, like something burning on a stove. At first I couldn't figure out where the bad odor was coming from and kept worrying something was burning in walls like an electrical fire....but every time walked past my feeding station it was even more strong. Opened the container and found the source. I have no clue what is in this product to make it smell so bad. I've been using the other granules that are not hypoallergenic and it does NOT have this odor....nor does the soft chews.

  • 5stars for Joint Max!

    By on

This is the best joint supplement that I have found for my 8 year old Newfoundland who has arthritis. I have tried others and I have seen significant results as stiffness and limping from arthritis has been greatly reduced, as compared to other supplements I have given to her in the last 2 years. Also because she has allergies this is even better! My dog has been so much happier!

  • My dogs love it!!

So easy, just sprinkle a scoop on top of their food and they gobble it up. Smells like brown sugar to me?? Easier than force feeding a chewable tablet that they didn't like!

  • Very tasty

    By on

I don't think my dog has much arthritis --- yet. He is a nine year old Samoyed and still very active. I am using the product because I know he will one day have some stiffness and possible soreness. And I don't know that it isn't, in some way, the reason he isn't sore. He really loves the taste and the fact that it's hypoallergenic for him is a bonus.

  • Hard to Tell

    By on

It's hard to tell how effective this product is in helping my dogs' joints as I assume they're going to continue to limp & move stiffly as they age. As a vehicle into the tummy goes, it's certainly saving me money on cheese. My picky dog stopped eating the chews, so I'd wrap them in cheese. I get to just sprinkle & stir this stuff into their kibble. They don't seem to like it much, but as long as I put something tasty in as well, it goes down.

  • My dog seems to love it!

    By on

I'd been buying a different joint supplement for my dog from a local health food store, but the price just kept going up. My sweet princess is a 100lb Rottweiler/lab mix, so her dosing is quite high. I ordered this online and hoped for the best. My dog seems to love it! She has no difficulty eating it (even though the smell kind of turns my stomach--it smells like molasses). I will say that now that she's been on it for 2 weeks she is acting quite perky for an 11 year old Rottie-lab! I will continue using this for her!

  • Too sweet, but my dog seems to tolerate it

    By on

This product looks and smells so much like granulated molasses, that it is a bit overpowering. My dog seems tolerate it just fine though, and he is definitely on a restricted diet so I will continue to use it to see how it helps his joints long-term.
