My German shepherd’s favorite toy!!
My 1 year old shepherd loves this ball. He whines so loudly when playing with this and he has never had a toy that excited him so much. It was like Christmas morning to him! Great exercise and he could go for hours playing. My shepherd is 80LBS and this size was perfect for him to herd and play with his nose and his front legs. Be sure to have a large outdoor area for your dog to play in for this as indoor use I would not recommend, it is very hard plastic and durable and with how excited your dog might get, could do damage to the indoor room. Would recommend as great exercise and mental stimulation!!!!
I originally purchased in Aug (8 months ago) and my 2 yo Mal (Mr. Kelly) is obsessed with it! He even picks it over playing with other dogs! I actually have to take it away from him so he'll take a break. I'm purchasing a new one because the recessed plug allows Kelly to set a canine tooth in it and then he scrapes all around it so the plastic is starting to shred; he can now pick it up and carry it (which makes him so proud), but I am concerned about the plastic cutting his mouth and paws during play (which is why the 4 star rating). With the new ball I am going to see if I can cover the plug so he can't do that again.
Must have for herding dogs!
Just got this for my 2 year old border collie and he absolutely loves it! After the first time he played with it this is the only toy he goes for when I say “ball” lol. Do your herding dog a favor and get one! Definitely worth the price, and should last a very long time!
My boxer loves this thing.
Its definitely an outdoor toy. It will break your furniture! My dog will push/chase this thing for as many hours as I let her have it. Its winter so after about an hour I take it, rinse it off and put it away or she will stay out there and freeze.
I wish I could give this more stars!!
I have a Blue Heeler/BorderCollie Mix and this ball keeps her so entertained! I went with this so it would be easier for her to “herd” the ball. It took her a few play sessions to learn how to use it but now it entertains her for hours and she is finally tired after a play session! If you have a high energy herding breed dog, get it! It will save your arm from throwing a smaller ball! The only improvement would be that if it would give my dog a bath after she rolls it through the mud!!
Best Purchase Ever!
We purchased this for our 113 + pound (and still growing) young Great Pyr/Boxer mix. He loves it! First toy that hasn't been destroyed almost instantly and keeps him entertained for long periods of time.
GSD loves it
We have 2 Australian Shepherds and German Shepherd. The Aussies could care less (maybe too big for them) but it is the GSD's best friend. He loves pushing it around the back yard and talking to it. He runs with the others too, just it's just an extra form of entertainment for him.
review of ball
My dog loves this!! It’s definitely an outside only toy but it makes her so tired.
Great Toy for a XL Dog like Rottweiler or Great Dane or Mastiff
I have a Rottie that can destroy dang near anything. A trainer at the dogpark here in Las Vegas had one of these for a Golden and let my boy play with it. He loved it the only "problem"is that I can only use in a contained area WITHOUT other dogs as it is hard and could hurt them and I am not sure he would share. LOL
My pups love it!
They chase this all over the yard. We have a big yard and no fence so we have to be careful where they go. I would suggest a contained area for play. But it will give them lots of exercise!
