Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

    Do not buy

By Alan on Aug 15, 2021

I have used this type of cat litter for many years. Until recently, I bought it at the local supermarket. What I got was light-colored clay litter that made it fairly easy to clean the litter box. After that supermarket closed, I decided to buy the same item from chewy. The package is identical, but the contents is totally different. The package I got from chewy contains dark-colored clay litter that turns into black mud when used. This means that it is very difficult to clean the litter box. I have no idea why Jonny Cat would change to this type of litter, while leaving the package unchanged. Also, note that the photo accompanying this item on the chewy website is wrong; it shows the I have used this type of cat litter for many years. Until recently, I bought it at the local supermarket. Jonny cat litter

By Mitzie on Jan 25, 2021

This was the WORST litter ever. I’ve used jonny cat for years and never had this type. It’s consistency is terrible and it doesn’t absorb the urine or odor!!

    Ok for price

    By Pammo2 on Jan 24, 2021

The scented litter doesn't really mask any of the smells. It is also very dusty when filling litterbox. My cats use it though which is good.

    This is not clumping.

By Kitty on Oct 28, 2020

You were told this back in 2019 by a review that this isn’t clumping. This litter is not clumping nor does it say that on the bag so the price is no deal. Please correct this. If you look at the photos with the non clumping and the clumping versions they’re the same. I don’t think Johnny Cat makes a clumping litter but I ordered it only to get heavy bags of regular clay litter.

    Jonny Cat litter

    By Jab1313 on Aug 1, 2020

I have purchased this litter several times and it was OK, not worth $15.99 but it was a decent litter. For some reason this last time I purchased 4 bags the litter was not at all like my previous purchases. It was big gravel, very similar to the very cheap Pride litter. When I am paying $15.99 for a 20lb bag I expect some consistency in quality. I am not at all satisfied. I hope Chewy let's the company know.

    Awful Litter

By Stacey on Jul 23, 2020

I do not understand why this has such good reviews. This litter is so dusty and it sticks to my cats paws whenever she hops out. Cleaning the litter box is torture because if there is any urine, it smells like chemicals and I have to hold my breath. But you cannot get the pee out because it is non clumping, so it just goes dark and smelly. Will not be purchasing again.

    My recent order

By Ginger on Apr 26, 2020

cat litter fine. However, I have been Chewy customer for a long time, and mostly been very happy. I understand that things are not normal right now, but the multi pack of Friskies canned cat food that I just received has many cans that are really smashed..especially one one end of the package. as far as I can see there is none of the food leaking out, but I think opening some of the cans will be a challenge!

    Does NOT clump

By Lilly on May 10, 2020

There is absolutely nothing about this litter that clumps, it darkens from the urine but there is no way to sort out urine from the cleaner litter. It is also highly dusty and unpleasant to sift through. If your cat is sensitive to larger litter rocks than also be careful because they are more like sharp pebbles.

    Shelter favorite

By LLNG on Apr 17, 2020

I foster neonate kittens for my local animal shelter and have tried several non-clumping litters. The shelter uses Johnny Cat and now so do I. It’s clearly superior for my needs.
