A Different Approach
JOY likes to do things just a little bit differently. A company who considers the pet the customer—rather than the pet owner—their dry food is based on your pet's natural chewing instincts, with flavor, nutrition and digestibility making up the champion-worthy recipes. Starting with their original kibble in 1953, JOY's focus remains on serving recipes that are proudly manufactured in the USA.

A Bowl Filled With Guaranteed JOY
From puppy formulas that are made just for young, growing bellies to high-performance food for active adult dogs, all of JOY's recipes start with natural, premium ingredients. Many of their recipes are filled with essential nutrients like omegas-3 and 6 for a shiny coat, and glucosamine and chondroitin for healthy joints and muscles. There's also grain-free formulas for sensitive dogs, and they're all based in great flavor with an appealing texture that dogs are guaranteed to love.
Treat Them to Something Tasty
Because, just like humans, all dogs need a treat now and then. Whether they learned a new trick or they're just being extra cute, JOY treats make it fun to show your furry friend some extra love. Including soft and chewy bacon strips that are made from real bacon, and chicken jerky that's grain- and gluten-free, their treats combine unbeatable flavors with premium quality.

About JOY
With humble beginnings that go back to 1943, JOY originally started as a chain of grocery stores that provided supplies to rural farming communities in Pennsylvania. But when small farms started to shrink, thus eliminating the need for farming stores, the founders decided to switch gears. They began researching dog food, and along with the help of Cornell and Penn State Universities, the first blend was crafted right on the family stove. It's still nutritionally sound today, and it's been the basis of their growing varieties and trusted name for over 60 years.

A hit with my four dogs
By christopherbrisson on Nov 21, 2018
My dogs enjoy lamb the most of all the various meats available in dog food and this brand, which I was not aware of previously, was a hit with all of them from the get-go. We usually rotate dry kibble among three or four brands (not on a daily basis, but when a bag is empty) so that they can have some variety. In this cycle we are now on a second bag of this and they continue to like it. It's also priced lower than practically every other brand of equal nutritional quality, which is a nice perk. Lastly, the kibble is an excellent size--not too big, not too small; I imagine it would be suitable for any dog 20 pounds or larger.

Waist Of Money
By garbage on Mar 23, 2018
Got this to try it out for my pit since it had such high railings. She eats literally anything but refuses to touch this. I've tried mixing in other dog foods and even pumpkin and she will still spit it out when she realizes this food is mixed in. Almost the entire bag had to just be tossed. Such a complete waist of money ! :(

Yummy & Delicious

All three of my dogs have enjoyed Joy dog food for years. First time buying the lamb and rice and they love it. No more lugging bags of dog food home from the store.
