Size
To get the most accurate size harness for your pet, measure the girth of their chest, around the widest part of your dog's torso right behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Pull the cloth tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pet's chest for comfort.

To confirm, this is a "no-pull" harness? I inquire because most no-pull harnesses clip the leash under the neck. Thank you.
Answer by Sasha • Aug 17, 2021
This is not a "no pull" harness. This is a very strong harness with a top handle that makes it much easier to control your dog. Julius K9 does sell a "T" attachment that is placed into the front strap and then hooks through the belly strap, that has a D ring, converting this to a no pull harness. As per backing out. If the harness is properly fitted, the chest strap should center the belly strap about one inch behind the front legs, and the belly strap should be tight enough that you can only place two fingers flat between the belly strap and the dogs chest, unless you dog is a contortionist that can dislodge his own joints, he's not going anywhere.
my shepherd likes to back out of harnesses. Does this prevent a dog from pulling/backing out of the harness?
Answer by • Jan 27, 2021
It may be possible for your dog to get out of its harness. However, this predominantly depends on the person at the other end of the leash. If your dog tries to back up, do not pull on the leash. If you do not pull on the leash and have a pressure distributor on the harness, it is almost impossible to get out of the harness.
Does the ‘Julius k9’ patch on the sides remove?
Answer by • Sep 25, 2019
This harness features removable side labels.
How does this harness go on the dog? Does it have to go over their head?
Answer by • Jun 13, 2018
This harness goes on the dog over the head and then is secured from under the chest with the buckle.
Fits my bearded collie perfectly. And she likes wearing it. I was concerned about the potential difficulty in undoing the clasp as other harnesses I tried were impossible for me to open. This one is secure and opens nicely. The harness is sturdy and seems to be comfortable on my dog. Glad I purchased it. Well made, looks good, and easy to use. Love it!

Easy to put on
I like the harness except for one thing. My dog still pulls. Hopefully I can correct that in time by going to a shorter lead. Lastly it is easy to adjust to insure she is secure in the harness

Good looking but it not a good no pull harness!
Would not recommend this collar for a large dog.
She did manage to chew through the collar. It is now not useable.
The no pull part did not work.
The chest strap is to long could not get a snug fit,

Not effective on small dachshunds
My miniature dachshund has been able to squirm out of this harness at the worst times, even with some adjustments to make it fit better. I'm thinking of throwing it away and going back to a collar.

Velcro strap is a total pain - other wise good
Our 110 lb St. Bernard puppy is full of energy and much stronger than us! This harness gives us a shot at keeping her under control - much better than all the others we tried like Gentle Leader. We got this harness when her trainer told us to get it or else. It does work, but putting on and taking off the Velcro strap that goes around her body is practically impossible. The clip in front works fine (you can adjust it once and just clip and unclip. But the Velcro strap grabs her fur and is practically impossible to tighten correctly or remove when you are done. Why didn't they use two clips? That would have been much easier and safer as the Velcro is often too tight or too loose no matter how hard we try to get it on consistently.

Tamed my Crazy dog
My 10 month old puppy is crazy on walks. Purchased so many harnesses and leashes but this one actually works. He can walk much better and less pulling.

This is Perfect!
This is exactly what I was looking for. My puppy is a Pitt/Plott Hound mix with a deep chest and pretty substantial neck and likes to pull. While we're still working on not pulling, it definitely makes him easier to handle. Thank you!

Dog can back out
Easy to put on my dog but she can back right out of this harness; so it could be dangerous.
