How To Store & Serve
Storing
Store frozen food for up to 18 months in the freezer. Thawed food can be kept in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
Thawing in Fridge
(Recommended) 24 hours for 18 ounces of food and up to 48 hours for 72 hours of food.
Thawing in Cold Water
1 hour for 18 ounces of food and 3 to 5 hours for 72 ounces of food.
Serving
Place the appropriate amount of fully thawed food in your dog’s food bowl and serve!

Excellent Nutrition!
I received this product for free as part of a free sampling program. My dogs are members of my family, so it is extremely important that I give them the best nutrition possible enabling them to live long, happy, healthy lives. This food from JustFoodForDogs was developed by Vet Nutritionists, so you know that they are eating the healthiest food available. Made with the same foods we eat without any preservatives or fillers. My Bluetick and Pit Bull both get excited when it is time for them to eat. There are never any leftovers! They've been eating this food for almost a month and they both are happy and healthy. This is the perfect food for pet parents that want to feed their dogs the best nutrition possible. Arrives frozen and thaws easily in the refrigerator!
Food for My Dog
My dog loves JustFoodForDogs Large Breed Support Beef & Brown Rice Support Fresh Frozen Dog Fresh Food. The ingredients and nutritional basis are quite impressive. It has plenty of meat and you can actually see the rice and vegetables, although not quite as pretty as the advertised picture. The food is more like a mush, likely from it being frozen and thawed. My dog loves the flavors and looks forward to feeding time. My only concern is for her dental health with only a fresh food (soft diet).

I received this JustFoodForDogs large breed support beef and brown rice support fresh frozen dog fresh food from Bzzagent and my dogs absolutely love it!!!!! I did half and half into there regular food to get them use to it and they absolutely love the fresh food. They would rather not have anything to do with the regular hard food anymore. I can't tell also it's making the dogs thicker. My pit and blue heeler will eat this from now on! Recommend to not start them out on only that I would do half and half until they are use to it.
Good food, poor packaging
I am excited that Just Food for Dogs has created a large breed blend which includes ingredients specific to large breeds. My pup really likes the beef and brown rice blend, and her coat seems softer since I started feeding her this blend. I do wish there were some more vegetables in the blend, as the green beans are not nearly as prominent in the actual food as they are in the photo on the package. My main issue with this product is the packaging. It comes in five pound packages which take forever to defrost and are not resealable. In order to maintain fresh food, I have to thaw the whole package, portion out about half of it into a glassware for that week, and re freeze the other half in a gallon bag. This is the only frozen food I have come across that is not pre-portioned and does not have a resealable package. I would still buy this food for my dog, but for a premium product I think the resealable package is a must. I received a free sample in exchange for this review.
Very Picky Husky Approves!
I have a very picky Husky. She hates canned food and refuses kibble unless there is something good mixed in. I was skeptical about this food, since she is difficult to please. To my surprise, she devoured it. Like she's never seen food before. It was amazing. And it wasn't a fluke! She's attacked every single bowl of this food that I have set in front of her. She definitely approves! For me, the packaging was a bit large. It is not reclosable, and it is messy to serve from the package. I had to find a large, lidded bowl to put it in to keep in the fridge. My husky is tiny and she doesn't eat much, so the amount of product thawed at a time is a bit excessive. If you have a dog that eats a lot, this shouldn't be an issue. Quality is fantastic! Everything about the product is exceptional except that each container is a little bit too much for my dog to consume within the timeframe.
Smells amazing and looks delicious
The dog food looks and smells good. It was delivered fully frozen in special packaging to keep it cold. Once thawed properly, I was surprised by how good it looked. You can see the MEAT. Mixed with veggies and rice, it makes it look like human leftovers. I heated up a small portion, and my dog went crazy before I got it out of the microwave. After warming, the broth and mince smelled amazing. I will admit I wanted to try this myself. This doesn't even compare to others I've given my dog. My dog LOVES this food for dogs! My only suggestion would be an airtight container for storage during the week. Or maybe split the big packs in half. Other than that, no complaints! Will definitely purchase in the future as my dog is my baby and deserves good meals too! Highly recommended if you haven't tried. I received this product as part of a free sample program.
Big Dog Approved
I received this product for free as part of a free sampling program. My Apollo even though he is a big dog is a grazer, his bowl of food lasts him all day, well not this food!! He starts spinning around in the kitchen the minute I grab the container out of the fridge and the bowl is empty within 5 minutes of giving him his bowl!! He seems to have more energy since giving him this food!! So glad the packaging says for dogs, it looks like holiday stuffing, I was afraid my husband would think he could eat it for lunch.
Oh My Dog...
I received this as part of a sampling program and honestly wasn't expecting anything to change with my super excellent doggo. But his coat is so shiny and soft now. He's a bit on the older side and he was starting to not finish his food - not anymore. He's like a puppy at mealtime now. AND his zoomies are so much more playful and last longer. Love the product!
Excited about food again!
My border collie lab mix had been on dry food for 9 years. The past few weeks she had been turning up her nose to her food. We got a sample of Just Food for Dogs and it got her super excited for meals. She's no longer moving around kibble with her nose and slinking away. Very gald we tried this.
She Loves It!
I received this item as a free sample and this is such a great treat - that is actually a meal! My pup takes her time indulging in her food and now waits for breakfast and dinner because she knows what is coming. Easy to serve and store. We would love to continue feeding her this yummy food!
