STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRESH FOOD COMPANY
I wanted to try this fresh food for dogs and this product falls way below all other fresh foods. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Sure, this may be better than kibble, so if it is between this and kibble, for sure, buy this. But know that there are so many other better and more nutritious fresh dog food options out there for you to settle with one loaded in carbohydrates. The amount of carbohydrates included is unreasonable and may be a way for the company to save money on quality products. There are too many healthy food options to make a balanced meal, why include carbohydrates? Just Food for Dogs company seems to not want the focus on this subject, because they have deleted my comments and questions regarding this and appear to want to silence customers who seem concerned. In the words of a well known expert on pet and species specific nutrition, Dr. Karen Becker: "I recommend you steer clear of any commercial pet food that contains a high percentage of carbs, no matter your dogs age or weight. The presence of excessive carbohydrates (starch) in commercial pet food is marketed to consumers as a healthy addition for "energy", very similar to how carbs are marketed in human food. Carbohydrates in excess of 20% can offset the amount of protein from meat that is necessary for a healthy body to function over time." Think about that before purchasing this product.

Pitbull loves it; package can be tricky to open
I received this product as part of a free sample program and was very excited for my pitbull puppy to try it. Compared to other wet dog food I've fed my dogs over the years, this one is by far my favorite for a few reasons. I much prefer the cardboard box this dog food comes packaged in over the standard tin can. The food smells fresh, with no overpowering odor typical of many processed dog foods. My puppy enjoyed the chunky ingredients, and I appreciated the amount of real food pieces in a minimal amount of juice, unlike traditional wet food that is usually a blob of mush. I would definitely purchase this again for all 3 of my pups, and I will recommend this to my fellow pet parents, especially those whose dogs have food sensitivities or dental issues that require them to eat wet food. Although I prefer the cardboard packaging, I do see some issues with the box itself. First, it can be difficult to open the perforated edge at the top, and those with dexterity issues may really struggle. Second, there is usually a fair amount of food left in the container after I've poured it into my dog's bowl. I scraped out the majority with a butter knife and then cut open the box entirely so my puppy could lick out the remains that got stuck in all the corners. Third, there is no way to re-seal the opening if you're serving less than a full box to your dog. I'm not sure whether changing the shape to allow for the food bits at the bottom to be easily squeezed out and adding an easy-open, resealable top are possible with a cardboard package, but if these 3 issues were resolved, this product would get 5 stars from me.
Real food that your fur baby will love!
We just recently tried the Just Food For Dogs product, beef and russet potato recipe as part of a sample program. I was super impressed by the high quality of the food. Between our dogs and cats, I have purchased many different types of food products over the years and have found it hard to find something that looks safe and healthy for consumption, as well as appealing for the animal. I was immediately attracted to this product since there are no preservatives. It looks and smells fresh. It is made with actual human-grade food items. My messy-eater dog devours it each night and his poop isn't runny after eating it! He loves it so much that I have caught him taking the container out of the trash looking for more. (I am sharing a blurry photo of this since that was the best I was able to get) I can't say that about many of the big brand foods that we have tried. The shelf stable pouches make the food easy to store and it's really perfect for including in an emergency kit since it will travel well. The only not-convenient part of the packaging is that it needs to be cut open (if it can be opened without scissors, I didn't find a way). The serving size is perfect. We use it for one meal for our large breed dog who eats other things during the day but the package can probably be split up for smaller breeds. We are happy to have discovered Just Food For Dogs and look forward to trying out different varieties of the product. We highly recommend Just Food For Dogs for your fur babies.
1st time my pups has not been picky and it is healthy for the puppers!!!
I have a picky dog, who gets human food from us all the time. Since Frankie gets human food then he is picky about his dog food. He eats this as though I am giving him human food for every meal but he doesn't know it is dog food and good for him. He is super excited for meal time where before he would not eat for a few hours to see if we had human food to give him. Also he has had more energy and his coat looks better. The best part of this is one pouch feeds him for 1 day and it is pantry stable until you open it. It is so convenient. I will be purchasing this and keeping the puppers happy! *Please note I did get this product for a free sample packet. This did not effect my review, because if it was not quality I would state it.
Great food for small to medium size dogs!
I received this product as part of a free by sample program The JustFoodForDogs wet dog food is definitely different than other wet foods I appreciate that the ingredients are real foods like beef potatoes green beans and more garden foods No meat meal corn syrup rendered fat etc and it is gluten free It has a great shelf life and comes in recyclable pouches It definitely still smells like wet dog food but our dog did not mind My only downfall is that it is approximately one pouch for each 30lbs of dog For our hundred plus pound dog a case doesnt go far It worked great as a supplement to kibble for our dog I apologize for the lack of punctuation It is prohibiting me from using it.
Amazing food my dogs begged for daily
This dog food uses human grade high quality food so you can treat your dogs how they deserve. Not only that, but it comes in easy to store containers that are also recyclable in my area if cleaned out - which is important for me. Both of my dogs went nuts for this food. I left the containers on the kitchen island for the dog sitter over the weekend and for an hour, my great Dane sat his head on the island and cried staring at the food. The best part is, day one or day fourteen, neither dog ever had any stomach issue, no diarrhea, nothing at all. This food was totally fine on their stomach every single meal. They loved it so much I will definitely keep them on this food moving forward. I did receive this as a free sample but that does not impact my review.
Great for both my dogs!
I am always on the hunt for dog food that is safe and healthy, especially for one of my dogs that have allergies. I also really like that the pouch is convenient and easy to release food from, and how it is genuinely fresh. Both my pitbull and my Maltipoo really enjoyed it and I think that they just love how fresh it is along with the flavors. I did receive this as part of a free sample program, but I am willing to continue trying this for my dogs because it has had no side effects such as allergies for my maltipoo and their poops are solid after!

I was highly impressed with JustFoodForDogs Pantry Fresh dog food! I received some pouches to sample. The carton was easy to open and scoop out the food with a spoon. The Food looks and smells like something a human would eat. I was really happy with the real chunks of potato and veggies. It is a lot better than any other fresh dog food I have tried. My dog was so excited when I pulled the carton out for his meal time. The smell was so good that it even attracted my cats to come investigate! I like how easy these single serving containers are to transport or give someone to feed my dog while I am traveling or away.
My Dog Loves It!
First, we received this product as a free sample in exchange for trial and review. My dog was very excited to eat it, and showed lots of excitement as I was preparing it. I have yet to find a food he won't eat though. This was the first wet food I have given him. I thought it would be a bit gross to prep for him, but I found it really wasn't that bad. Our dog eats his regular dog food way too fast, so I was happy that this slowed his eating down due to the consistency of the product. I really liked that the main ingredients of this product were something a human could eat, but made for dogs. Overall I really liked this food for our dog, the only down side is the price. I would not continue to buy it, because it would cost more per portion for my 40lb dog that I spend on each portion for human meals in my family.
