My dogs LOVE this food
My dogs had been eating a “premium” brand kibble their breeder had recommended with no issues whatsoever. Then one day I fed them and within an hour they both had horrible diarrhea. My niece suggested I try JFFD. I was reluctant because I had tried a similar brand and the thawing, dividing and refreezing was a bit much. Plus sometimes I forgot to thaw out the food. With the Pantry Fresh version that’s not an issue. My dogs LOVE it, I’m not kicking myself because I forgot to thaw dog food so it’s a win win. Being able to now order it from Chewy is an added bonus.
Dog will not eat
My Belgian Malinao will not even smell the food. She eats Blue Buffalo stews only. My wife spoon feeds her a can of chicken or beef stew then a can of Back Yard Bar B Q, Tried. tried this food would not even take a spoon full. Looks good just we have spoiled 77 lb. 1 year old baby, nothing against the food are other little dog love it
FRESH FOOD WITH TOO MANY CARBS, BUY ANOTHER BRAND
I wanted to try this fresh food for dogs and this product falls way below all other fresh foods. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Sure, this may be better than kibble, so if it is between this and kibble, for sure, buy this. But know that there are so many other better and more nutritious fresh dog food options out there for you to settle with one loaded in carbohydrates. The amount of carbohydrates included is unreasonable and may be a way for the company to save money on quality products. There are too many healthy food options to make a balanced meal, why include carbohydrates? Just Food for Dogs company seems to not want the focus on this subject, because they have deleted my comments and questions regarding this and appear to want to silence customers who seem concerned. In the words of a well known expert on pet and species specific nutrition, Dr. Karen Becker: "I recommend you steer clear of any commercial pet food that contains a high percentage of carbs, no matter your dogs age or weight. The presence of excessive carbohydrates, (starch) in commercial pet food is marketed to consumers as a healthy addition for "energy", very similar to how carbs are marketed in human food. Carbohydrates in excess of 20% can offset the amount of protein from meat that is necessary for a healthy body to function over time." Think about that before purchasing this product.
Too much rice
Good food that my chihuahuas are like but too much rice. Would like to be more low fat meat and veggies. Balance in name is misleading.
Dogs Love this and eat it all
The ingredients and texture are really perfect for our 2 Westies. Packaging is easy to open and close and space efficient. They eat better than they did with kibble and their poop has a much milder odor that smells better.

I received this product for free for my dogs to sample and review. The packaging is convenient and the food looks and smells like real food. Both of my dogs loved it. My senior dog had a little tummy issue on day 3 but she has a sensitive stomach. This was the only reason for taking a star off review. My pup had no issues. I would recommend this food and plan to put it on the menu going forward.
Even my picky one liked it!
I'm thrilled with everything about this dog food! I like the easy to open, store, and stack containers because I can keep them out of the way and still open them quickly even without scissors. Now the dog food itself looks awesome for ya know, dog food lol it looks very fresh and is filled with nutritious human grade ingredients like rice,chicken, carrots, spinach and apples and zero preservatives ! I received this product as part of a free sampling program and I'm glad I did because I have 3 dogs and my little one won't eat anything with a piece of veggie in it and she can't get enough! For that alone I would totally recommend this for but really I would recommend this to anyone who wants to feel good about what they are giving their fur babies.
Wonderful addition to your dogs diet
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review: The food was a hit with my dog Trigger! This has been one of the easiest foods to introduce and transition to my dogs diet. Trigger hasn’t had any adverse effects, and his coat seems to have a bit of extra shine to it. I appreciate the fact that all ingredients are 100% human grade. When opening the product, you are not hit with a typical canned wet dog food smell, it has a slight scent milder than a can of tuna (so it won’t stink up your house). The box is easy to open, and convenient packaging makes recycle afterwards a breeze. No need to store it in the fridge until it’s opened. Downside: is- 1 box of food per 25lbs, so my dog at 75lbs would need 3 boxes which can be costly. But, the health and wellness of my dog is utmost important and I’m willing to invest for his continued health. Overall I think this product is a wonderful addition to my dogs diet, and I will continue to use it. Plus, he loves the flavor! Triggers stats: Weight: 75 Breed: Husky/Shepherd mix Age: 9

I received this product as part of a free sample program, and lemme tell ya, the timing of this sample was perfect - my dog, Mr. Peanutbutter is PICKY. He has dismissed 4 different types of food that we've tried, and has gone on hunger strikes. This sample arrived just in time - and it's a WIN in our house for sure. He looks forward to dinner time, and comes running when he sees the food come out. I love that I know what ingredients are in it, and that it's human grade. You can actually see the rice, chicken, and veggies in it. I highly recommend this food, and will be purchasing more to share with my boy!

They literally cleaned their bowl. One box will feed both our little ones. We usually feed them one box a day and it's for lunch. Morning and evenings they get their regular food. We love that it's 100 percent human grade ingredients, no feed grades ingredients, no preservatives, and it's great for our babies. Definitely recommend giving a trying.
