Gross looking
Been using JFF for several months now. Mostly the chicken and rice stew. Decided to try something different in flavors. This is horrible. Its like a paste, thick, and unappetizing. My dog eats it mixed with his kibble. I use these foods mainly as toppers due to the price. I guess if he eats and doesnt get sick, I will finish what I bought, but I wont be buying again.
TOO MANY CARBS, TRY ANOTHER BRAND
There are too many other Fresh Food brands to skimp on giving your pups food that will nourish his/her body. I would score this entire brand with an F. Sure, this may be better than kibble, so if it is between this and kibble, buy this. But know that there are so many other better and more nutritious fresh dog food options out there for you to settle with one loaded in carbohydrates. The amount of carbohydrates included is unreasonable and may be a way for the company to save money on quality ingredients. There are too many healthy food options to make a balanced meal, why include carbohydrates? Just Food for Dogs company seems to not want the focus on this subject, because they have deleted my comments and questions regarding this and appear to want to silence customers who seem concerned. In the words of a well known expert on pet and species specific nutrition, Dr. Karen Becker: "I recommend you steer clear of any commercial pet food that contains a high percentage of carbs, no matter your dogs age or weight. The presence of excessive carbohydrates (starch) in commercial pet food is marketed to consumers as a healthy addition for "energy", very similar to how carbs are marketed in human food. Carbohydrates in excess of 20% can offset the amount of protein from meat that is necessary for a healthy body to function over time." Think about that before purchasing this product.
Ya Gotta Get It!
I have been trying JustFoodForDogs Pantry Fresh Turkey & Whole Wheat macaroni fresh dog food, and I gotta say, I am super impressed. Typically, either my dogs isn’t interested in wet foods or it up parts her stomach. I placed this in my Quinn’s bowl, same she didn’t take a break until it was gone. Then the true test came…Did it upset her stomach. I’m happy to say that it didn’t. I love the natural ingredients. So much better than what you find in other wet dog foods. Quinn says it needs to be a new staple in our home. I will be recommending it to anyone I know that has a dog and wants what’s best for their baby!
Quality but expensive
I received this product in exchange for a review. This dog food was much less "mush" than some of the other fresh foods I've tried. There are chunks of actual meat and noodles. I do feel it is a quality product, and my dogs very much enjoyed it, with no loose stool I've had with other fresh dog foods. I will continue to buy cases of this dog food because it's shelf stable and I can simply add a small amount to my dogs bowl as a supplement, and the rest will stay fresh.
Loved it!!
My dog loved this food. She's a 12 pound lhasa apso and a total chow hound! She gobbled up this food. And it must have been filling because normally she then tries to steal the cats dinner and after eating this she didn't. It looked and smelled like something I would eat. Not gross like typical dog food. And I didn't notice any upset stomach or diarrhea from trying it. Would definitely purchase again.
Freshness You Can Smell
I liked that this food smelled fresh. As if I made this food myself and it were fresh off the stove. It has actual pieces of noodles, meat, and veggies and has a freshness that you can smell. The great thing is it's doesn't have the diarrhea effect of wet food that most dogs get if they eat wet dog good because this is made with quality ingredients and it shows in how the dogs are able to digest it. The strong scent tells me its rich in flavor and the fact that all of my dogs enjoy it tells me its a great product all around.
We were surprised at the quality
We received this product as part of a free sample program. We were thrilled to try out this product for our picky Saint Bernard. The first thing I noticed is the box itself seemed a bit small but wow was I surprised when I opened the pouch part and dumped it into the bowl. Magic happened and it expanded. It didn’t just look yummy but it smelled great too! My dog started standing next to the shelf where I had the meals arranged waiting for her box when it was dinnertime after just a few days. We have already bought more and will continue trying different flavors. I will absolutely recommend this product to my friends and anyone who has a picky eater!
Delicious
First I would like to say that I really appreciated the food comes in a small one servings box instead of cans. The food was kept fresh even when splitting it up to eat half AM and PM. I have the worlds pickiest eater. As soon as I put this in front of her she started chowing down and didnt stop I like the ingredients and that its healthy for her and actual food
Human food, dog approved!
My dog really loved the JustFoodForDogs PantryFresh Turkey & Whole Wheat Macaroni Fresh Dog Food, 12.5-oz pouch, case of 12 that I sampled through Bzzagent. She ate it up and has no issues with the switch. The fresh food was such a nice switch from our usual canned food - you can see the individual noodles and bits of food. You can really see you're feeding your dog human grade food!
Good but it...
Good but left my littlest dog, with hunger so i had to give her 2 of these However, they go crazy around THAT smell. Idk what you put in them but it must be goood & their poop (I'm getting too graphic here) is just enough the right consistency for you to pick it up. Btw, i received them as part of a sample program!
