Was looking for a toy to distract one of my cockatiels from upending the plastic feedcups; this has become a facorite pastime for one of the culprits, This little toy arrived and half a couple loved it so much they'd fight over it. It did seem to alleviate the empty the seed cups game - until someone dimantled the ball and now there seems to be no interest in the dangling pins, and we're back to emptying the seed bins. I think this would be great for parakeets or less mischievous cockatiels, but not my little trouble maker. The ball hangs from thin molded plastic, which is a part of it, so there is no way to fix it and was easily destroyed; if the plastic part of the ball that is it's hanger was more substantial, or if it was metal it may not have broken so easily, or perhaps I could fix it, and would have given full 5 stars for the fun a couple of them clearly had, & relief from the bird seed cup fiasco which has resumed now there's no longer interest in this toy.
I had this bowling set before; but after a year of wear and tear they needed a new one. So majority of my budgie's toys are from JW Pet and they adore their basketball hoop so I thought might as well try the bowling set! So it's not as big of a hit as the basketball but one of my budgie's will knock the ball around all night long. I'd recommend to anyone who wants their budgie entertained.
My lovebirds are always playing with this toy. They love to hit the pins with the ball. I highly recommend this toy. It is inexpensive and a "lovebird" favorite!
my dove wendy loves this toy and the little moving parts on it and the small mirror on it
My cockatiel Charlotte absolutely loves this toy. I have purchased it like 4 times since it's her favorite. She already broke the ball, I guess I will be buying another one :-]
My female parakeet, "Pip", loves toys! She is very destructive, though. Can't wait to tear up a toy. She loves this bowling game and so far, she hasn't been able to break it! My male "Chip" is also showing interest in it (if he can get it away from her! Got the basketball hoop, too, and they both LOVE it! Thank you Chewy!
My cockatiels got bored with this toy the first day I put it in their cage.
Reasonably priced. The parakeets seem to like it. It doesn't take up a lot of room in their cage and isn't destroyed by chewing in one day. I like to change out toys when they seem to get bored with them.
My parakeet loves this toy. Plays with it a lot and was never scared of it.
My bird loves this toy and the sounds it makes when the ball hits the pins.
