The product mentions it works on all coat lengths, my dog has shorter hair but sheds a ton and this comb did not help at all

This comb is great for getting through a thick double coat- like that of my shepherd. I feel it gathers more hair than a regular soft slicker brush.The teeth are quite pointed/sharp so you have to be very careful when using it- especially if your dog does not enjoy being groomed.

Good solid comb

I have a beagle and was looking for the right shedding comb. This is all I could find on chewy- it said it is for all hair types. It does work but I think it is best for longer hair. The teeth are quite long and sharp, so my dog doesn't care for it. I keep it tilted and gently go down her back to make it do the job. It's good quality and I like the handle.

I just got this to replace my older one from 20 yrs ago as the foam on the handle came off and with a molded handle grip this one is sure to outlast my older version. A lot of combs have a rounder tip to the teeth that make's picking snarls out more difficult this one is perfect.

I bought this because my lab sheds all the time. I was hoping to alleviate some of the hair floating around the house. The comb catches on his longer fur and is unable to get at the fuzzy undercoat. Maybe I bought the wrong comb, but I don't know which one would work better. He does not like the shedding brush so I had hopes this would work.
