Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
This is one of my dog's favorite toys. It was one of the first toys we got her, and she instantly loved it. She plays with it every day. It lasted a lot longer than we thought it would. She chews on it a bit at times, but not a lot. More than anything, she pulls on it like she wants to play tug of war with it, and because of that, it's hard to get my dog to let go of a regular ball. This ball makes that easier and has lasted more than 4 months before it started to tear, which was recently. And she still plays with it. She only plays with it when we are home anyway and playing with her. Especially since it tore, we've been paying closer attention until we get her new one. She hasn't ripped off any pieces. Reading some of these reviews and seeing these pictures, it's ridiculous that people who know their dogs chew up toys even purchase it and then leave a bad review. I think it would be obvious not to get your dog this toy.
When I first got my puppy I got him one of these balls and he loved it, so did I. I even bought him a second when I couldn’t find the first. One night the ball got stuck around his lower jaw! I spent 30-40 min trying to cut it off. I finally had to have my son-in-law come help me get it off. I won’t be buying another toy like this!
My dog loves this ball! I inquired @least 3 times about getting it in a specific color, only to be told that I'd need to wait until I rcvd a notice via email b4 I could do that. Waited, called as to when it was instructed to me, was told "TOO LATE" to order. Frustrated doesn't even come close to the way I'm feeling. AS FOR THE PRODUCT: IMHO it does last a long time ~ @ least a year or more b4 my dog, who is an avid chewer, starts to bring it to it's demise ~ parts chewed thru, but still bounceable/playable. Rcvd a RED ball, the COLOR I SAID I DIDN'T WANT!
My dog loved this toy - so much that he ripped it apart on the first day. The little pieces became a choking hazard. This is a great toy and my dog loves it but I wish it was more durable! Would not leave unsupervised, especially if you put treats in it (which I did not).
My 13-month-old retriever tore this up in about 15 minutes - my bad for not watching her more closely. I still let her play with it but she's not that interested if she can't tear it apart. She is usually does not destroy her toys, not a heavy chewer.
I'm so excited I found this. When I tell you my dog is obsessed with this ball, I'm not kidding. It's a great product. They last forever. She's a huge chewer, and this really has been a blessing. The only problem is I can't find it in local stores and she only loves the green ones....and she knows yall, I've tried. I guess if I don't get green on this order, I'll just keep ordering till we do.
I bought this specifically because it said it stands up to tough chewers. My 40lb pittie has almost ripped this to shreds 20 minutes after receiving. It only took about 5 min to get the first few chunks out. Definitely will NOT buy again. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
My puppy loves these toys, and has a medium and large. However, he’s been getting his lower jaw caught in those holes which scares him and makes him cry out. It takes a little work to calm him and release the toy from his mouth where it’s locked behind his canines. unfortunately I have to put the toy aside. I’ll try again when he’s older, and maybe he won’t have the issue but for now I cannot let him play with it.
My dog loves to pick up the ball and throw it. She can do that with she has a smaller one but it gets under the furniture and she has to find it. This is bigger so it does not have that problem.
My 8 month old pup has the small and medium sizes of this ball, and he (and we) loves them. I figured since he had grown so much, he should have the bigger versions, so I got him the large and jumbo sizes. The large has been great, but the jumbo is severely disappointing! Within a few days, he had a chunk chew off of it, and it just keeps getting worse. The sturdiness of the jumbo ball is much less than the other sizes.
