This worked to slow Zoey's eating.
By Zoeysmom on Jan 27, 2022
Zoey used to eat so fast it often choked her. This bowl really helped to slow her down. It is just a little too deep for her short Boston Terrier nose to get into the bottom so she really has to work to get the last pieces out. That might not be a bad thing, but it frustrates her a little.

15 seconds
By Bitt on Jan 4, 2022
The first time my 8 week old Siberian nibbled at her food in this bowl, backed up, sized up the problem, grabbed the bowl in her mouth and flipped it over and spread the food all over the floor then proceeded to gobbled away. She’s got it down even faster now.

Didn't work for my dog
By Susangel on Jan 4, 2022
I bought this to try to slow my Shih Tzu from eating too fast. It did not work for her at all, she is still eating way too fast. I have to pour her food in a little at a time. It might work for other dogs, just not mine.

Want to see your dog get excited?
By Frenchiemomma on Dec 2, 2021
Our three year old frenchie was eating his food so fast! He gets overly excited now when he sees us get this bowl and even shakes his little butt and wags his nub while eating, ya, I’d say he loves this bowl. He never acted like that before we bought it.

Not the best for larger dogs
By BellHound on Oct 27, 2021
Got one of these for one of my Bassets who thought she was a shop vac. I will say it did slow her down... by about 10 seconds. Tried it with a second dog with the same results. The partitions are too far apart with too much open space in the bowl to make a significant difference.

Not for large dogs
By Dawn on Sep 24, 2021
I was very unhappy with this bowl. My dog did eat slower however, the bowl is definitely not non-skid. If the bowl wasn't held down by me, it moved throughout the dining room from the force of my dog's licking. In frustration, my dog would just flip the bowl over and then chew on it after eating his food. My dog weighs 80 lbs; this bowl may work wonderfully for a smaller dog.

Not for skinny snouts
By Pernilla on Sep 9, 2021
I bought this bowl in hopes of it slowing down my little gobbler at meal time. However, the partitions are too far apart to make much difference in the speed with which my skinny snouted Miniature Schnauzer vacuums up her food. This may work fine with a wider nosed pet -- but not for the more narrow-snouted dogs.

Slows her down when eating...
By Skeeter on Aug 7, 2021
Because of my 2yo Staffy's joint problem from birth I have to havae her on a strict diet which limits the ammount of food she gets daily. especially when she doesn't get much exercise, I got the JW pet feeding bowl and it does slow her intake down. I also feed her Solid Gold's diet kibble I get from Chewy too and I'm really bad at anticipating when I need another bag but Chew is so prompt in delivery she never has to wait. Did I tell you how much I love this company? I have always been able to find whatever I need from Chewy and the help from customer service is, as always, exceptional!!!

works perfectly
By mallory on Sep 28, 2021
Our 70 lb Rottie mix will scarf down anything - but this slows down his eating considerably and not to the extent that he gets bored and gives up, like he has with some of the more complicated slow feed bowls.
