    Wasteful, lots of spillage

    By on

You have to transfer these from little baggies into the small tubes to prepare them, then transfer from the baggies into the lid to apply the powder. There’s not a lot in each container and a lot gets spilled trying to transfer it. Using the lid to hold the powder didn’t work for our small dogs, their toes were too short to reach the powder unless the lid was full. I ended up just putting it on my hand and pressing it into the nails. It does work to stop the bleeding. I have used it on a dog and a hedgehog and it worked well. Overall this was more work than it’s worth. I had purchased one for my sister and my parents to keep in their first aid kits and I regret not getting them something more You have to transfer these from little baggies into the small tubes to prepare them, then transfer from the baggies into the lid to apply the powder. Cut the Quick? No Problem

    By on

The powder is great to stop any bleed when you accidentally cut too close to the quick. My only concern with the product is it’s a bit messy and somewhat difficult to use but it’s a powder! So 5 stars, overall happy!

    Nice idea, but falls short

    By on

I agree with some of the other reviewers that transferring the powder from the little baggie to the tube is difficult and caused a lot of spillage. I only used one of the two so far, and the plastic bag had a little hole in it from the start, so it made a mess. Nice design, though. I plan to carry it in our bag while we hike for an emergency situation.

    Not impressed

    By on

Not impressed. Very little clotting powder in each and you have to transfer to cup part and if you have the wrong amount, you trash it, or maybe try to reuse.

    Ok but not great

    By on

These seemed great until we opened it and the powder was inside in a plastic bag shoved into the vile that was hard to get out. Then getting it poured into the vile was impossible. To much work. The powder works but packaging is aggravating.

    Great idea

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

One came with a mini clipper I got from Chewy. I mixed the blood stop with cornstarch, worked great on my next nail clipping and got too close. I got these and mixed cornstarch with the stuff provided again - and already gave one to one of my pup training clients. Planning on giving the other to another. Can tip some into the cap and dip the nail into that, or use a Qtip, or if it is still full and yer not worried about cross blood contamination - dip bloody nail straight into the tube.

    So confused

    By on

The powder is in a long and very thin, flimsy plastic sack shoved in this tube. It's hard to remove the powder and downright impossible getting it back in! Why the powder is in a sack- Who knows, but it shouldn't be,because it renders the entire thing useless! You cannot pour it into the cap . I thought this would be good for my small dog but I recommend spending a few extra dollars for a better product.

    Good design

    By on

I haven't used this yet and hope I never have to. But I love the design and it looks like it would be easy to stop bleeding.

    works very well

    By on Top 500 Contributor

Now and then, with a wiggly pup, a nail will be cut too short and they bleed a lot. Having this styptic powder on hand stops the bleeding quickly. I like the small container top for application.

    Great price

    By on

Great price and only needs a small amount. Stores were higher price and large container.
