    works very well

Now and then, with a wiggly pup, a nail will be cut too short and they bleed a lot. Having this styptic powder on hand stops the bleeding quickly. I like the small container top for application.

    Great price

Great price and only needs a small amount. Stores were higher price and large container.

    Love the container shape

Rather than trying to grasp the powder and pinch a nail, simply place nail inside the container. Much easier to use and it comes with a small nail file.

RE: Not easy to work with

    By on

I think they could have had a better way to dispense it. I wasted most of it trying to get it where I needed to on the wound on my cat's foot. Would not order this again. They need a new way to package this.

    Worthless, disign doesn't work

    By on

Most of the positive reviews are from customers who bought this product but haven't used it yet. Pouring the powder from the tiny plastic bags into the tiny vials is tedious and you lose much of the powder. Then when trying to use the product you have to shake some of the powder from a vial into the yellow piece and then put the bleeding nail into the yellow part. My small dog's nail doesn't reach the bottom of the yellow piece. The process is cumbersome. The device seems like a nice concept (that's why I bought it) but the design just doesn't work. I ended up just pouring a bit of the powder into the palm of my hand, then using my index finger to place some of the powder onto my dog's nail.. Just buy some styptic powder and apply a pinch of it to the bleeding area. Hence there is no need for this product. The idea of the product seems cool, but the design is terrible and doesn't work. … more

    A bit challenging

    By on

The powder comes in a tiny, pencil-thing bag that you have to open and dump into the plastic holder. Sounds simple enough, but it's not. That bag is so thin that even after you cut one end open, the power doesn't come out. We tried and tried and eventually lost half of the powder to the counter. And then, my husband read on the package that it contains talcum, which is now known to cause ovarian cancer. We were really disappointed in the fact that the powder want already inside the container instead of requiring the consumer to empty it. Next time I'll look for a different. Rand or ask my Vet for a recommendation.

Bought it for a puppy's paws

Sure, the idea is good and after fumbling though the powder transfer and then trying to apply it to a bleeding nail I found it useless. The applicator is not designed properly in my opinion.

    Great Product!

Purchased this item to have on hand as part of an emergency kit for my beloved maltipoo siblings. You never know when an accident will occur so I want to be prepared for anything. Love the dispenser and it's easy to use.....not to mention the price break......

    Great design

Thankfully I haven't had to actually use the powder yet. However, I really like the design! So much easier than the typical plastic jar of styptic powder. I also love the file on the side of the dispenser, it works very well for rough nail edges.
