Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.
We have a 14 lb mini poodle / Jack Russell mix. We've always got the Revolution, or the Selerid flea tick heartworm but she had a shot for heartworm so my vet said to order any flea/tick topical for her. The treatment the vet had was around $133.00. I saw the price of the K9 Advantix and ordered it. For some reason they didn't have to send order to get the vet to approve it. I applied the treatment last week; followed directions on the box. She had a horrible reaction later that night. Vomitted her dinner and was going nuts and could tell the 3 places where I put the treatments were irritating her skin. Since then she has not been able to keep any food down. Every meal she has vomitted and she still reaching toward her backside where I placed treatment. I called the vet and then called the # on back of box of the manufacturer. They suggested we wash the area. We have done that twice and this hasn't helped. Whatever is in the K9 Advantix is way to potent for her and just wanted to warn others about that. We are going to reach out to her vet again today since she hasn't eaten in 4 days. Lesson learned; will stick w/ what I know and not try to save a dollar.
I have used this flea treatment for years and it has always worked for us. I have noticed no adverse reaction and do not use flea shampoo or other flea products. We live on 5 acres and our dogs come in/out as they please. I like that you don't need any type of RX from the vet. Chewy has good incentives to purchase from them throughout the year!
Compared to the small bit of searching our dog did from the few fleas we found. ADVANTIX 2 tortured him. His skin turned raw and so far foe over 24 hours he is suffering. The vet said to wash it off of him and give him Benadryl which has only given him a little relief and they said if it continues tomorrow to bring him in for a huge vet bill I'm sure Do not make the same mistake!! Andvatix 2 has been a nightmare.
used this a long time ago & it worked great recently bought again for my 3 shih tzus for a small flea problem, not even an infestation & it doesn’t seem too work, also i opened the package & applied it on 2 of my dogs then got to the third & opened the bottle & there was literally nothing inside no liquid, probably best to get vet flea perscription
This seemed to work the first couple days, then it lost the effectiveness. I found live flea on my dog within a week and a half of the application.
i HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT ON MY 11YR OLD SHIH TZU FOR 11 YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS. PURCHASED HERE IN JULY. USED IT AUG AND SEPT. WHEN I TOOK MY DOG IN FOR HIS WELLNESS EXAM, HE HAD LYME DISEASE AND FLEAS. AFRAID THIS PRODUCT WAS EXPIRED WHEN IT WAS SOLD TO ME. DO NOT BUY IT
We've used K9 Advantix for 3 years and have seen zero ticks and zero fleas. It is also well tolerated by our dog who looks forward to getting it since he receives his heart worm medication as a treat afterward.
This is the first and last time I will buy this product. Has not helped our puppy with fleas!
We have noticed fleas on our Boston terrier, I treated the yard and home and she still had some fleas, I checked the K9 Advantix flea and tick spot treatment and it seemed to be the right choice, I applied the K9 Advantix in 3 areas as recommended, we are now on the 3rd week and no fleas, you apply the K9 Advantix every 30 days, it works great and our Boston terrier had no side effects
I love chewy. Best service, best products, best employees. I am 80 yrs. I could not take care of my dog without chewy. I adore chewy they are so thoughtful .
