Great Quality

I first purchased this leash for myself a few years ago and it is still in great shape. I just recently purchased a second leash for my mother who's had been struggling with arthritis in her hands. The scissor snap is far easier to clasp than the traditional ones and the cushioned handle is very comfortable. Very well made, highly recommend!

I love this leash - I have had two. The first lasted about 5 years - the second is leash is 3 years old and in great shape (albeit a bit dirty since it is used several times every day). My dog likes to jump and spin, and the clasp can take all that energy without him getting loose. That's a good leash in my book.

Very Secure

This is our 2nd K9 Explorer with the scissor snap, and we love it! We originally chose this snap because the loop on our dog's collar was just thin enough that a regular snap would gap just enough to let our dog loose while on walks. The scissor snap on this leash is the most secure snap we could find. Our dog weighs 30 lbs so the weight of a "beefy" snap does not affect her at all. On small or tiny breeds this snap might be a bit heavy if they have a really small neck....it would be nice if the company could engineer a smaller scissor snap for small dog breeds.

We bought the k-9 explorer leash and collar set and they’re both really sturdy. I have a large German Shepherd so having a heavy duty set was a must for us, this is definitely it!

While I love the quality of this leash, I am not a fan of the scissor snap. You can inadvertently put it on incorrectly. Give me the old fashioned clasp and I would give this 5 stars.
