    K9 Natural Lamb Tripe

    By on

Bought this product as a topper for my pup's food. Have a poodle pup that seems to be sensitive to certain proteins and possible gums/thickeners in other canned food. I like the fact that this is a single ingredient, with nothing else added other than water. I also like that this could help some with re-establishing gut health in my pup. He's been treated recently for giardia. :-( Also, something to make his L.I.D. kibble a little more enticing to eat! It does have a lot of liquid in it, as some others have commented, but I just used that to soften the kibble a little. It does stink, but I didn't find it too horrid (I did dispose of the can outside, instead of the kitchen trash, however!). Bought this product as a topper for my pup's food. Dog LOVES it!

    By on

My dog is a picky eater with a sensitive tummy who doesn't love eating in the morning (which wouldn't be a problem but she won't eat her daily amount in the pm). So finding something yummy to entice her to eat can be a bit of a struggle. This is the first thing I've ever seen her take notice of the minute I opened it. I mean I opened this can and she smelled it across the kitchen and sat by my side ears perked and tail wagging. Three mornings now and she has eaten almost all her am kibble. No upset tummy either! Super nutritious to boot! P.S. - the smell wasn't that bad to me but I grew up around horses & cows, so I am somewhat used to the 'stink'. Open this one outside- it smells horrible. But they love it and their coats are shiny. I give once every other day as a supplement to their regular meals

    Paying for mostly water

    By on

While my dogs enjoyed eating this stuff, it is not worth the price. 1/3 of the can is water and then a very meager portion on green tripe. I won’t order this again. I could buy steak for the same price.

    Best out there!

We've tried several varieties of canned tripe and this one is hands down our favorite. When we can get fresh tripe, we also buy that so I can vouch this brand is the closest you'll get to the real deal in a can. 100% pure ingredients with zero fillers or additives. We have no problem with the lid and water as another reviewer pointed out. Its the same can as other dog food with peel-back lids. It smells just like tripe is supposed to smell. (I'd be concerned if I had a tripe product that didn't smell, tbh.) This stuff is great and our boy sometimes whines waiting for it. :) If you're on the fence about trying tripe, this brand is what you want. My dog loves Lamb Green Tripe!

    By on

We feed her a smaller can of tripe once a week. Have the can on a surface as you open it, as there is a lot of smelly liquid in the can. It will save you from spilling it. I actually feed this to my dog on our deck, to keep the smell outside. It's supposed to be so good for dogs, so it's worth a little extra time to serve it. Your dog will thank you. Also, I wouldn't store an open can of this in the fridge, so buy the size you plan to use in one go.

K9 Natural Grass-Fed 100% Lamb Green Tripe Grain-Free Canned Dog Food

    By on

The quality of the food is great, dogs had no trouble eating it. However, there's not a lot of meat in the can and it's submerged in water that can be easily spilled due to the difficulty of peeling back the thick lid of the can. Beware, this variety of tripe smells truly awful as well.

Great for very picky eater !

    By on Top 100 Contributor

My one year old Poodle mix is beyond picky about his food. He is very active and needs a lot of exercise. I put K9 Natural Green Tripe on his two scoops of dry and he devoured it in a matter of seconds. The smell is not pleasant to humans but he loves it .
