K9 Natural Lamb Green Tripe Raw Grain-Free Freeze-Dried Dog Food is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is magic! My senior Shar Pei, Bruno, who has renal failure, has been eating this for a week, and already he has shown great improvement. Before, he was lethargic, but a couple days into it, he had perked up a bit and was more alert, a couple days ago he was running around, barking, wagging and even playing. He breath isn't as foul either. I know we have a long road ahead, but the way he gobbles this down, I feel better about providing him with a healthier, happier, and generally better quality of life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Doesn't require refrigeration I no longer have to keep an open can of stinky green tripe in my fridge which is a blessing. And "Her Ladyship" doesn't even know the difference. "It stinks, it tastes good, I wish I could roll in it but I will eat it instead and then blow my breath in the boss' face." She is evil no doubt but worth the best I can buy for her. I still sleep with one eye open though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dogs' favorite I bought this originally when traveling last summer as a topper for a finicky dog. I decided to use it for treats since it was such a huge hit. It is very light weight since it is freeze dried and easy to break up for tiny training treats. I love it because it is lamb tripe and, therefore, a novel protein.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from There is not alot in the bag. After ordering the food i found the bag really did not contain that much food. But the dog did like it. The cost to value i felt was low so unless it really goes on sale i dont believe i will re order this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probiotic Powerhouse I ordered K9 Lamb Green Tripe in a bid to find a natural way to help my rescue pup overcome his allergies. K9 Green Tripe came up in several searches as an effective source of dietary probiotics and it has certainly proved very effective in my particular circumstances. I have a rescue pup who was taken from his mother at 3 weeks. He spent his 4th week in an animal hospital being treated for pneumonia so by the time I took him in, at 5 weeks, he was a bundle of allergies - itching from head to toe 24/7 - as a result of a severely depressed immune system. So, before condemning him to a lifetime of antihistamine meds & cortisol shots, I thought I'd give diet a try. The results have been really encouraging and I have now switched him to an all raw freeze-dried diet based on K9's Lamb Feast whilst continuing to supplement with the Green Tripe. Its less than 3 weeks since I started this regime & the itching is dwindling by the day along with his runny eyes. Plus he's growing at a rate of knots. A couple of things to be aware of: This is a supplement & not a complete food. I failed to read the packaging properly & fed it exclusively for the first couple of days. Oooops! And secondly, everyone will want in on the act so be prepared to buy in bulk. Even my cat yowls for the Green Tripe...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely convenient way of feeding green tripe to your dog I have a German Shepherd with a sensitive digestive system. Getting his gut healthy has been a long road of trial and error. He also was not that much of an enthusiastic eater, probably because he had often experienced nausea and associated that with eating. Since I was desperate, and willing to try anything, I did a lot of research and stumbled upon the healing properties of green tripe. It contains lots of things that might be missing your dog's gut, and helps promote healthy digestion. I purchased fresh green tripe from a source online. It was not only expensive because of shipping costs, but horrific to handle. It came in 2 pound rolls that I had to defrost, portion and refreeze. And I wasn't too keen on keeping that stuff in my freezer, because it smelled even through the plastic Ziploc bag. I did notice a marked improvement in stools from the green tripe. In addition, the horrific barnyard taste was very appealing to my dog, and he ate with enthusiasm whenever I added it to his meal. Needless to say, I was very happy to find this version of dehydrated nuggets. I soak five or six in warm water just before I feed him. When rehydrated, I add them to his food bowl and he devours everything. We have had perfect stools ever since I started using this product, and I intend to never be without it from now on. Warning! Remember going to the circus when you were a kid and smelling the elephants? This is exactly what this stuff smells like. But the benefits are well worth putting up with the stench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great smell...for dogs I like to give my dogs raw food in addition to their kibble, This product is the transition to K9's Raw Food line. They suggest NOT giving it with kibble. HOWEVER, my dogs eat dehydrated raw with kibble all the time, so I tried it. OMGosh! What a HIT! Everyone loved it, everyone was at the counter to smell it. The smell is less than desirable for humans, but I assure you, your dogs will love the smell and taste. At the time I first fed this, I had 15 dogs from mini Dachshunds to a Bloodhound, with Beagles and Rat Terriers in between. I highly recommend this food either as a transition to raw OR as an adjunct to your kibble.
