Great Product
By Backpack on Jan 17, 2021
We just purchased the dog carrier a couple of weeks ago. While I cannot yet speak to it's longevity, I will say that we are happy with the condition on arrival. The fabric seems durable, it has an adequate amount of optional storage, and the dog seems to be very comfortable. Our dog is about 23 lbs and 19 inches long so I also purchased a block for the bag. A couple of things that I wish were different... I wish there was a hanger for the water bladder. There is a port for a hose, but no hanger. Lastly, I am slightly concerned that the bag is going to be warm for my dog in the summer. There are small vents on the side, but I'm not sure how much air will actually circulate. Great but Be Warned
By TravelingWithLaya on Jan 26, 2021
I just receive it and so far it seems great. However, be warned that it doesn't come with the carabiner you need to attach your pups collar to the bag. If you go directly to K9 Sports Sack website, theirs appears to come with the carabiner attachment but Chewy says their's does not. Therefore, unless you have a carabiner lying around, maybe try buying directly from K9 Sports Sack instead so you make sure you get all that's should be included.

Pack is amazing, sizing recommendations a little off
By BiggiesBigDay on Dec 28, 2020
This is a heavy-duty backpack and will be amazing once we get the correct size. We measured our English Bulldog and he fits well into the sizing recommended as Large, however, there is no way we will get him in this Large unless we put up a fight (lol) and we are certainly not going to do that. Going up a size will probably make it too long, but I will just put a rolled up towel in the bottom (or they sell a booster).

This bag is amazing!
By Juliette on Jan 4, 2021
This bag (size large) perfectly fits my 33lb labradoodle. Very convenient for taking her on public transportation, on a bike ride, and through the airport. Easy to get in and out of (after a little training) and she loves it. Highly recommend for a pup that's too big for a traditional carrier!

By Carol on Feb 1, 2021
I love this back pack and so does my old girl. She is quite comfortable in this pack, she can adjust herself while in it. The straps and and waist belt are very comfortable for me too!

Very high quality carrier. My dog is a 24 pound Boston Terrier-French Bulldog mix. Carrier works perfectly. Easy to get dog in. Keeps dog secure. Good support for person and dog! Highly recommended!

Nice ride!
By Bullet on Dec 8, 2020
I am a 15# puppy but my folks got the large size because I should grow to be 35#. We put a bolster in the backpack and I was comfy and secure! You should get one if you like to hike but need to rest if your folks go long like mine do.

Exactly what I was looking for
By Magpie on Sep 30, 2020
My Labrador has always been my hiking buddy but now that she is 14, her arthritis really limits her mobility. This pack is the perfect solution. She is happy and comfortable inside of it and the design of the pack distributes her weight across hips and shoulders so it is surprisingly comfortable for me too.

Perfect bag for our needs!
By AllForMolly on Mar 19, 2020
Let me start by saying I am a very frugal person. I see this as the most expensive purse I own, that my dog just happens to fit into!! Molly is a 30lb, 9 y/o Standard Schnauzer, doesn't like to walk too much and you can tell is sore in the hips. I always feel guilty when we hike or walk without her. I researched the K9 Sport Sack on multiple sites and felt it would fit our needs. The bag is made of heavy duty material- I do not feel she would be about to rip or poke a hole through it. Has a few spots for water on the sides and the removable bag for extra storage. Has great, comfortable straps that are adjustable and has the waist strap which was the selling point for us with this bag. I wanted Let me start by saying I am a very frugal person. Has great, comfortable straps that are adjustable and has the waist strap which was the selling point for us with this bag. I wanted that extra 'security' if things got a little dicey while hiking. (I hope in future models they make a pocket on the waist strap that will fit a phone whereas the current pocket does not hold mine) It takes a few minutes to get her comfortably in the bag- not because she doesn't want to go in but because she is excited about going. We place the bag on an arm chair facing the back, so when we put her in she can rest her arms on the back of the chair while we zip her up. Works well. Once she is zipped, it does have a 'clasp' on the top that is adjustable for around the dogs neck area. Not to choke, I imagine to make sure they can not wiggle worm around too much. She doesn't notice it, built right into the bag. After she is secured in, I turn her while on the chair and put her on like a back pack. (We did purchase the foam block for the bottom) Once she is on, off we go. The ONLY change I would recommend or make is it does have a chest strap on the front and even at its most stretched it if very difficult to connect. I wish it were long, where as I like the idea of having it done. I am going to try to purchase something to create an extender for it. Other than that, we have used it to hike, walk and I've cooked with her in it. (good practice for her being in it) I would highly recommend this to anyone who has that 'mom guilt' about leaving a loved one behind. ** I have not been paid for my review or supplied any products from Chewy or K9 Sport Sack ** … more
