Way more expensive per ounce compared to bigger dog cans!?!

By Lenchika on Apr 18, 2020

Excellent quality canned food and my picky cats like it but $60 for less amount than in a case for dogs that only costs $40, come on - 30% higher price just because of smaller containers - seems unfair and overpriced!

Even the dog won't eat this food

Kasiks Wild Coho Salmon formula was on sale at my favorite local pet store. I bought one can to try and my 3 cats ate it up. So I went back and bought 4 cases because my neighbors' cats frequently come in my cat door to dine. Day 2.. Not a single cat would go near the food. Very well received by 23 cats.

What caught my eye first was the use of wild-caught salmon from sustainable sources. The lack of fluff, senseless fillers was also a plus. The BPA-free cans are also good news. I researched the brand-name and found no negative history. Without any reviews, I took a risk and bought two cases. We have 23 cats at our sanctuary. Every single one of them gobbles up this food without hesitation - even those who don't normally eat other salmon cat food. The constancy is that of a very moist pate. Moist but NOT soupy. It's incredibly easy to dish out - even the leftovers from the fridge. It doesn't get rock hard and dried out like some pates when you refrigerate them. It looks and smells like salmon pate - not some brown/gray, unrecognizable mystery meat. We also tried this brand in the chicken flavor - well received but not "inhaled" like the salmon. I can wholeheartedly recommend this food based on our experience. … more
