Don’t recommend for hamsters
By fleacircus on Jul 22, 2020
I read the other reviews for concerns on hamsters but I tried this because it was cheap anyways. Not good, Too fine & powdery dust. Hamster like it but it’s not good enough for them, too fine powdery stays on everything. I will eventually try the heat treated reptile sand not sold here as of yet, or another sand.

She loves the dust baths so much! It helps clean her and she just loves to roll in it

This is Okay for chinchillas, but never for hamsters. Dust is too fine and will cause respiratory infections

Not great and very messy
By IceQueen on Jul 1, 2018
My hamster loves sand and taking sand baths so I thought I would try this and see if he liked it as much as The Tiny Friends Farm bathing sand but he does not. It is very dusty and messy. He showed no interest and when I put him back in his habitat he went straight to his sand baths (he has 2) and was a happy little hammy. I will not be using this again and I will be throwing it away.

We use as hamster litter.
By Joon on Jul 21, 2018
We originally purchased this as bath powder for our hamster but she had other ideas. She uses her bath dish as a litter box, which we love. She urinates in it which makes cleaning her habitat so much easier.

The hamsters loved this product, it was fun watching them kick up the dust ;)

Great for a bathroom
By Hamstermom on Mar 24, 2018
I bought this for my son's winter white thinking it would be fun to watch him roll around in it. Instead of rolling around in it he began to use it as his bathroom...now that is the only place he goes "potty" which makes it much easier to clean his cage!

Hampster not interested
By ANIMALLOVER86 on Jan 11, 2018
My Chinese dwarf hampster hasn't so much as looked at this bath powder that claims he will immediately roll in and clean himself. So I put him in several times and he ran from it. Maybe it's just my hampster but very dissatisfied. He stinks and very much needed a bath!
