Instructions

Remove the U-tube and set aside. Push the bottom Side Latches down and lift the entire upper assembly off the Scatter-less Base. Set the assembly on a flat surface while you empty the base. For better results, remove the Exercise Wheel from the Back Wire Panel.

Empty and wash the Scatter-less Base with soap and water or spray with Super Pet Clean Cage and wipe dry. Super Pet Clean Cage neutralizes odors, safely cleans surfaces, and is non-toxic to all pets.

After cleaning, replace the soiled bedding. Place the upper cage portion back onto the Scatter-less Base. Line up the grooves and gently press up on the Bottom Side Clips to secure the cage assembly. Reattach the U-Tube to side openings and any other parts removed during cleaning.

This is not a good cage for the money or for animals. Too small, bad.

    By on

I purchased this at Petsmart along with my hamster, a syrian male. This cage is terrible, it came out of the package broken and is very brittle and cheap feeling. It barely wants to go together and I actually couldn't complete assembly because the clip on one of the tubes came broken, as well as the side of the base, which would have let my hamster chew out. I had to immediately buy another. Return was painless though. Besides the terrible quality and poor value I researched as soon as I got home on what is proper for a hamster. This is BOTH my fault and the fault of the product and companies selling them, I should have been prepared and known already but I didn't and I fixed it ASAP I purchased this at Petsmart along with my hamster, a syrian male. This is BOTH my fault and the fault of the product and companies selling them, I should have been prepared and known already but I didn't and I fixed it ASAP at cost. I am an adult, and bought myself a hamster and should have done research but I didn't and fixed it, thankfully it WAS broken or I may not have as quickly. This cage, and all like it are marketing gimmicks, they are not suitable habitats for even dwarf hamsters. They are at best half the size of the minimum a hamster needs which is about 400-450 square inches of floor space. The tubes can be to small and awkward for larger Syrian hamsters to navigate and they can be humid and trap debris and waste. They need to be cleaned and that means disassembling a fragile cage often. This really isn't big enough, and while they do look fun and colorful they don't provide a good habitat. It also needs to be deeper to allow burrowing. Instead of this you can use a clear plastic tub, cheap and large, an aquarium, or wire cages that are a bit larger. Running maybe 75-100 dollars. … more

Good Cage for 3 female hamster

    By on

This cage can hold 3 female fancy bear hamster but they will fight for the wheel up top and what I did to not have it move at night is I put a sock in the gap when the wheel is so they can’t move it. Probably one of the best cages. I have 2 females in the cage they both love the cage. The other female fancy bear was connected to this cage but I unconnected it because she was fighting with one of the fancy bears. But all in all it’s a great cage. I have all fancy bear hamster 3 females and one male they love going into the overwatch thing above the cage and they sleep up there all day and night. Thanks for the great cages Kaylee

    do not get this please

    By on

when i was around 8 without any knowledge i got this cage and this cage is way to small for a hamster to live in first place the wheel is super loud and hard to clean and the top pod looking part where they sleep had a flimsy cover and my hamster chewed it off because it was stressed from the small amount of space it had and escaped and never came back i do not recommend this at all please don’t get this. the only suitable cage for a hamster by critter trail is the super habitat one. it might be pricey but it’s what’s safe for your hamster you can even get a big bin and make a diy habitat if you care about your hamster don’t buy this

    Great hamster habitat

Nice hamster home, our chubby fella is happy. The wheel was a little hard to get together. If it's not on exactly right, it rubs when turning, and is loose at the tube connection or the support arm, so make sure to spin it a complete turn or two, to try it out. The support arm and the connection at the tube should not move, if it does, it isn't set into position properly. Took us a few tries to get it, won't lie, it was tricky. The instructions are a bit difficult to follow, especially for kids. But we do like the cage. Cleaning the wheel mean's taking it back apart, but now that we know how to sit it into position properly, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I would suggest a different cage for anyone wanting a quick and easier set up/cleaning, especially if you are tasking kids with the cleaning. Our hamster didn't like his first 2 cages. Was constantly escaping or chewing the bars all night. He seems content now, it's been a week, and the tube wheel is a better fit for him, as he is a larger hamster. Dwarf hamsters will be too small to use the tube wheel I think. … more

    Product is very defective

    By on

I thought this will be great for my female dwarf hamster but she is not enjoying it. It took forever to put together because the parts very flimsy and there are gaps where I have to use tape. I wasted my money on this product and I am very unhappy.

    Easy to clean??

    By on

The wheel on this cage sucks. I tried to disassemble the wheel to clean it and it won't come apart, as a matter of fact it broke in the process of removal. Now my hamster has no place to live. I've had this cage for almost a year and have not been able to fully remove it, I've had to half clean it. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    Cage isn’t worth it

    By on

Me and my girlfriend bought this cage for $45 dollars and pet supplies plus for our dwarf hamsters. Thinking “you get what you pay for” nope! This thing is so cheap and so difficult to put together. I know how to put it together but the pieces and parts just wouldn’t cooperate. I bought the cage with my hamsters hoping I could put the hamsters in the cage right away. Again, nope. We had to return the cage because it was so horrible so we had to keep our hamsters in the box they came in for two more hours then planned. We had to get our money back and buy a cage that actually works. So if u made it this far on my review, please do not buy. Don’t waste ur money. Even if the cage is on sale.
