    Terrible Cage

    By b103 on Apr 19, 2021

The size of this cage is way too small. The wheel is way too small for any species of hamster and will cause back issues. The tunnels are also too small for syrian hamsters, and can cause serious harm if they get stuck in them. Hamsters need the bare minimum of 450 sq inches.

Dimensions given are not what you get!

By Desiderata on Mar 25, 2021

I think they measured the tubing as seen in the picture, which is not the measurements one would need. It is much smaller than the measurements indicate. I would not recommend for a Syrian or Fancy hamster, might be OK for a Robo.

    Great service and product!

By Suzanne on Feb 23, 2021

Arrived with a big crack in it, but chewys amazing customer service replaced it! Was an expansion cage for my hamster and he's loving it, goes up the tubes and hangs out in his new 'exercise room'!

    Way too small

By toph on Jul 6, 2020

Too small for even our little Robo Hamster. He got depressed from how small it is. Got a bigger or I should say the min size 30x20 and he is way happier there are bigger and cheeper cages or tanks.

    Too small!!

By Kale on Feb 17, 2020

This hamster cage is much too small for hamsters of any size. They need at least 450 square inches of open floor space. They are GROUND DWELLERS, and multiple levels does nothing for them. The other problem is the wheel. 5 inches is too small for any hamster including dwarfs. The bare minimum for dwarfs is 6” and 8” for Syrians. All hamsters NEED an adequate wheel. In the wild, hamsters run 5-10 miles per night and they need to do so in order t on get their energy out. Although this cage may look fun for kids, hamsters are not toys. If you don’t think you can afford anything else, one affordable option is a bin cage. For more suitable hamster care info, visit Victoria Raechel onYoutube.

    Not suitable for any animal

    By Sarah on Feb 17, 2020 top1000Contributor

I know a lot about hamsters, and not a lot about other small pets, but I do know that This is too small for them. This cage is not suitable for a hamster. Hamsters need at least 450 square inches of floor space (yes, really) because they travel 5 to 10 miles per night in the wild. Connecting cages does not increase floor space for them. In addition, the tray is much too shallow, as hamsters need at least six inches of bedding in some part of their cage. The wheel is also too small, and can bend their backs. Go for a bin cage for a cheaper and safer alternative. Silent runner, wodent wheel, and the comfort wheel are all good.
