For best results discard any uneaten portion and clean food dish before next feeding. Fresh water should be available at all times. The following feeding amounts can be used as a starting point for 1 bird. Adjust the portions to maintain proper weight and if additional birds are fed.
When introducing a new food, begin with a mixture of "old and new" food, gradually increasing the amount of new food over a 7 - 10 day period. This will prevent digestive upset as well as allow your pet to adjust to the new food.

macaw food
By Isaac on Feb 16, 2021
The only thing that I would say that I am disappointed with this feed is I got a lot of empty shells on my walnuts. Considering that most of these products are sold by weight I thought that was a waste of my money on that part. Would I buy this product again yes I would but I think the quality should be checked on making sure there's walnuts in the shells.

Good mix for cockatoo
By Charlie on Apr 7, 2021
Food has a great mixture of different dried fruit, nuts and cereals. But my bird is really picky and would not eat any of it. He likes only people foods

Happy Bird
By Comfort on Feb 26, 2021
We just purchased this item for the first time for our cockatoo Butter. He's a rescue and was not being fed properly. He's a picky eater but absolutely LOVES this variety mix. When Butter's happy, we're happy.

Macaw Food
By Chris on Mar 30, 2021
Its’s very good / although I picked some of the sunflower seeds out. I may be one of the few that don’t feed as many sunflower seeds as others

Ten pounds of various nuts and berries.
By Popeye on Jan 23, 2021
Nicer sized nuts and things for bigger birds. We have an African Grey , and there is a lot less waste.

Milo loves his new food. Always throwing away food he would not eat from other brand. But this time there are only shells left.

Excellent Larger Osrrot Foid
By Emily on Sep 10, 2020
I used to get a Kaytee food that is no longer available. I changed to this one and my 2 cockatoos love it. The food is larger and aimed at larger parrots!

Too many peanuts
By BirdMom on Oct 21, 2020
I thought my large birds would live this, but it has way too many peanuts and empty walnut shells.

Well accepted clean mix
By Minerva14 on Apr 4, 2020
I have both mini and large macaws. I feed a varied diet with seed mix added as an enrichment and a treat. This is a clean mix with varied seed, nuts and fruit bits. Ive noticed very little waste. There are quite a few peanuts as many reviewers have mentioned but I dont see that as a problem since this mix isnt their only diet. The occasional walnut is given to my largest macaws. Ive tried other seed mixes marketed for large macaw but have found this to be the best.
