Feed cockatiels 2 - 4 tablespoons daily. Adjust portions for proper weight maintenance and when feeding additional pets. Discard any uneaten food and clean dish before each feeding.

Transition Instructions

When introducing a new food, begin with a mixture of old and new food, gradually increasing the amount of new food over a 7 - 10 day period. This will prevent digestive upsets as well as allow your pet to adjust to something new.

This bird food, like many, has a lot of millet. None of my birds really like that so I have to buy some sunflower and safflower seeds to mix with this. Okay price for what it is, though.

This is the bird food I prefer to buy for my cockatiel. Unfortunately when my package arrived the bag was cut open and all over everything in the box and then my floor -_-

  • A disappointment

Kaytee eliminated their Forti-Diet Pro Health with Safflower seeds, so I was left with this version as my only choice. I have never fed my birds sunflower seed, as they are not good for the smaller birds--too fatty. This food has tons of sunflower seeds in it. It is obvious that Kaytee is using it for a filler, to save money. There are more sunflower seeds than anything else. It's very difficult to switch an older bird's food, but I may try, because I don't see much health benefit in this blend.

  • Cockatiels recognize Chewy's Box

    By on

Fresh, and even the birds get excited when they see the box come into the family room. A couple of the cockatiels are always looking for new toys, but they like the food also.
