Young Ferret (6 - 11 weeks): 1/2 cup to 1 cup dry food daily softened with warm water to improve ease of eating for younger ferrets. Replace or remove remaining softened food after 2 - 4 hours. Keep dry food available during this period of the animal’s life to aid in converting to the dry only diet, at around age 12 weeks.
Adolescent and Adult Ferret: 1/2 cup to 1 cup daily.
Due to a ferret's rapid metabolism, high - quality food and fresh water should be available at all times. Adjust the amount of food provided depending on your ferret's age, weight and activity level.
If this food is new to your ferret, it may take a few days to acclimate, so slowly add to its diet over several days by blending the old and new foods.

Quality Ferret Food at a Reasonable Price
By MissouriDogMom on Sep 13, 2020
I started out with three senior ferrets a few years ago, and now I'm down to only one little girl. She enjoys this food and seems to do fine on it. Her poops are normal and not too frequent. I tried higher-priced premium foods and found that she was pooping constantly. I tried senior diet, but she didn't enjoy it, only eating it out of pure necessity. Since she's blind, she needs a food that she can really smell, and this one appears to be the ticket. She's adorable, how she hangs her head out from the hammock sniffing for it. The price is affordable. Most people can't spend $30 for one small bag of ferret food. And as always, Chewy is great with an incredible inventory of products to choose I started out with three senior ferrets a few years ago, and now I'm down to only one little girl. Stubborn ferret
By Rochesternative on Nov 14, 2020
My son's ferret will not eat this food. Apparently she likes cat food better. It is frustrating. Open to ideas...

Great when mixed
By Maggie on Sep 7, 2020
If you mix this food with wisong epigen it's great! However if you're going to be feeding this solo it's ok at best.

I'm on the fence
By Shannon on Dec 30, 2019
At first my ferret picked around this food to eat his other food. I think he's eating it some now. It's not giving him diarrhea though so that's a plus for me.

Helps with weight
By Kassie802 on Oct 16, 2018
I had two ferrets that always had problems keeping weight on. I tried raw diet, Marshall's and Wysong. I saw that one other person used this for weight gain, so I gave it a chance. I can tell you that my ferrets have never looked as good as they do now! All thanks to Kaytee! I highly recommend this product if you have a fuzzy that has a hard time keeping good weight on.

Not her favorite
By Osaschipperke on Jul 6, 2018
She didn't enjoy this food as much as the round shaped Essentials cat food kibble. I've mixed the two to give a more balanced diet but she picks out the ferret food and leave most on the bottom of her enclosure

Definitely try turkey if you have a picky eater
By Dess on Mar 18, 2017
I have two ferrets. One male, one female. With my male ferret, I've never had any problems with him keeping a proper weight, but with my female ferret I've always had a problem with her staying slightly underweight. I've tried almost any type of ferret food I've come across to try to find one she will eat good and gain weight, but nothing has ever worked. She will eat any type you give her, but for some reason I guess she just never really liked them enough to eat the way she should. When I seen this one, I decided to give it a try being turkey instead of chicken like most types, to see if she would like this better. With just one bag, she has gained weight to the appropriate level she should I have two ferrets. One male, one female.
