Disappointed
By tazz on Jun 12, 2022
There is so much very fine meal in the bag I have had to sift it before feeding the fish. I'm not sure if it was the bottom of the barrel it came from but I am losing about 1/4 of the product due to sifting. Very powdery. Not happy at all with it. Usually like chewy products

Kaytee Koi's Choice Premium Fish Food
By Soodalay on Jun 14, 2022
I bought this to feed the fish in a pond at a local park. The fish (they look like bluegills to me) are crazy for this food, and I like it because it is a healthier and cleaner alternative over bread.

Not as advertised
By coopcomgrp on Jan 20, 2022
This is not Chewy’s fault. However, the bag clearly states that this food floats. 95% of it sinks to the bottom of the pond. If you are a fellow pond hobbyist like I am you know that you like to watch your fish feed at the top of the pond. You also know that you don’t want this stuff sinking to the bottom and rotting. Will never purchase this again.

Pretty good fish food

This food seems better than a lot of the comparable pet fish foods, based on the list of ingredients. The price is better than most. This is actually being used in a small, shallow, overcrowded temporary seasonal "pond" to try helping underfed tadpoles mature before winter. Insufficient food supply can cause them to not mature as they normally would. Usually, these mature in about a month from the time eggs are laid. This year, it's been 3 months and most don't even have hind legs yet. If they don't mature and leave before it freezes or snows, they won't survive. (Last year, first snow was September 8 rather than the end of October.)
