Great Product and Service!
I have been buying the Kaytee Premium Koi food for several years from Chewy. The product is good and the service is excellentQ
Kaytee Koi's Choice
Only koi food I will buy. Both the koi, and goldfish go crazy for this stuff. I have been using it for 12 years now.
Not as advertised
This is not Chewy’s fault. However, the bag clearly states that this food floats. 95% of it sinks to the bottom of the pond. If you are a fellow pond hobbyist like I am you know that you like to watch your fish feed at the top of the pond. You also know that you don’t want this stuff sinking to the bottom and rotting. Will never purchase this again.
Good basic pond food
The Koi eagerly swarm the surface awaiting their chow. This is indeed "Choice"

Our Koi love them. If any falls on the ground our cat Milo eats them
Pretty good fish food
This food seems better than a lot of the comparable pet fish foods, based on the list of ingredients. The price is better than most. This is actually being used in a small, shallow, overcrowded temporary seasonal "pond" to try helping underfed tadpoles mature before winter. Insufficient food supply can cause them to not mature as they normally would. Usually, these mature in about a month from the time eggs are laid. This year, it's been 3 months and most don't even have hind legs yet. If they don't mature and leave before it freezes or snows, they won't survive. (Last year, first snow was September 8 rather than the end of October.) The hope is that since there is no algae for them to eat, this will help them mature and go on their normal way. The floating pellets will sink if not eaten in several minutes, which is okay since tadpoles will eat them from the bottom as well as when floating.
This was one of the worse fish food I have ever bought. There is so much very fine meal in the bag I have had to sift it before feeding the fish. I'm not sure if it was the bottom of the barrel it came from but I am losing about 1/4 of the product due to sifting. Another thing some of the pellets are flat and jagged and I have been picking out those because I'm not sure if it will cut the fish when they eat them. I have bought from Chewy before and have been very satisfied, but this bag was not good.
Good, but not great
Very inexpensive, but would call it damaged product. I feed some bluegills in our lake. The broken pellets are eaten as they sink while the “whole” pellets float and are attacked by the fish! They are like piranhas going after the floating pellets. Glad the pieces are eaten as well, otherwise a lot of food would be wasted.
Fast shipping. Great product. We love the 50 pound bags. Can't find this product in stores near us. Glad we finally found it on Chewy!!! Home delivery is fantastic and FREE...the turtles love it too.
Best Koi Food ever!
Great food for my kois. We have 25 of them (big and small included). An overloaded fist full keeps them going all day long.
