Guinea pigs don’t like
My Guinea pigs used to love this. For a while it went out of stock, now that it’s back in stock I repurchased it and they don’t like it anymore. It used to be their favorite toy. I’m not sure what’s different about it the wood is a darker color. But they both don’t have interest in it anymore which is upsetting. I wonder what is different.
Hot glued pieces but that's the business norm for rodent toys--no big complaints
Like most products for rodents, these are held together with hot glue. At the very least, the circle on the heart-shaped block and the flower on the wood-shaped block are hot glued on. This isn't a huge issue because it's unfortunately what I expect from products, but it's something to note. If you can, scraping off the glue once it's exposed will keep your pet (for me, a chinchilla) from ingesting it. Outside of that, no complaints. The hole goes all the way through without any rough spots that catch on the skewer. Tink will absolutely love destroying them.
Pretty good for rats
This isn't the absolute best rat toy I've gotten but they are chewing them and it's very much helping to keep the teeth ground down. Previously my boys I had did well bruxing their own teeth but my two new boys are avid chewers and this got a big thumbs up from them. They are layered woods, very little smell, no excess glue that I could see. Thumbs up!
