Birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and other woodland critters love these - and they are less expensive than buying peanuts with shells. I also pour them into the homemade suet each winter (I've tried buying premade regular sized suet cakes and they are still in suet cages, barely touched, weeks later...I can put a 3lb suet cake out that I make from lard, peanut butter, peanuts & sunflower chips - and it's gone in under a week.)
Kaytee Shelled Peanuts are excellent, you can ask the birds and squirrels that have overrun my yard ! With the AutoShip discount you can't find a better deal anywhere, I looked. In top of that, there is NO WASTE in a bag of Kaytee Shelled Peanuts. And to top it off you get Chewy fast and on time delivery ! What more could me, or the squirrels ask for?
I have a Bird Sanctuary in the Coldest part of Minnesota. My birds love the peanuts as well as the Shelled Black Oil Sunflower Meats from CHEWY! I provide year round Water for them as well. Thank You CHEWY!
I purchased three 10-pound bags of shelled peanuts to feed to our dozen regular squirrels that come to our back door every evening. I have been feeding peanuts-in-shell. I purchased the shelled peanuts to reduce the amount of mess the squirrels make with the empty shells. The squirrels like the shelled peanuts and eat them well enough, but I think they prefer the nut in the shell. I can put both types out together, and the tree rats go for the nuts in the shell first. But soon all the peanuts-in-shell will be eaten up, and the squirrels will have to eat up the 30 pounds of shelled peanuts. I do not think they will have a problem.
Lots of small shelled peanuts. Perfect for the birds and squirrels and even a raccoon shows up and likes to eat them.
Neighbor-friendly, these peanuts don't have shells for the birds to leave everywhere. Birds large and small enjoy them. I chop them up for the little birds. Great price from Chewy!
Tried using it on our squirel proof bird feeder with some success. It seems to attract woodpeckers mostly. The other mix-fruit bird seed was leaving a clogged-up mess at the access point, no longer letting the good item down.
I use the peanuts in a feeder meant for sunflower seed. The Blue Jays, Cardinals, Tuffted Titmouse, Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Nuthatches, They all love them and are at the feeder all the time. Great Buy!!
These are great nuts. Wish the product description were accurate though as it reads “shelled peanuts”. The product photo itself does have the peanut pieces, but I thought I was clicking on a 10-lb version of a 5-lb product based on the heading — which is on me for not investigating further.
I got this to keep a couple Squirrels out of my bird feeders and now I'm feeding every kind of bird out there. The gigantic crows are going to break me hahaha!!! I don't mind.. they all need to eat lol.
