I buy the 27.5 L bag of Lavender bedding and it works very well for our two guinea pigs. It leaves a fresh smell and also works wonderful at absorbing their messes as well as the water that sometimes drips out from their bottles. I love the little flower buds and the quality of the bedding. I use it as bedding and litter so it's a win win. I sweep the old bedding from the cage pan and put it in the litter box and fresh back in the pan so there is no wasting. I love it. Thanks Chewy and Kaytee.
Can be Vacuumed!
on May 5, 2019
One of the problems I had with a bedding was how hard it was to vacuum up. My guinea pig would always kick a lot out onto the floor, and I would have to pick up the chunks before I could vacuum. Now, years later, I fell in love with a rat, but was terrified of the dreadful chunks of bedding. I was willing to do it for him though, so I went to Chewy to start ordering supplies. I was excited that it was small granulated and ordered fast. The price is really good for the quality! It's small and vacuumable! I haven't noticed any smell either!
definitely more economic than paper litter

I use this in my rabbit’s litter boxes. They keep the smell down surprisingly well for it being just wood pellets and it doesn’t stain my boys’ fur. Their feet are nice, clean and white but the downside is that it’s messy. It’s worth the price difference. I mean I’d rather just sweep up the flying wood pellets than to pay 3-5 times more for paper litter. I always get like 5 big bags of this stuff and it lasts me a few months so yes, I highly recommend this litter
Pros and Cons

This bedding is really soft and nice, our Guinea Pigs (12), love it. It’s absorbant and is good for odor control. The downside is that it can be messy if the pet throws it outside of the cage. But that simply means vacuuming once a day.
Hamsters love this stuff!

My hamster loves this bedding! She enjoys digging and burrowing around in it. When I use this bedding, I find it super easy to clean her toilet corner. These granules do a great job of absorbing and holding urine. It's easy to scoop out the urine-soaked granules without causing too much disturbance to the rest of the cage.

I needed to buy my hamster new bedding. After lots of research and looking through what was available on Chewy, this looked to be my best option. Let me tell you... I’m so glad I found this! This works great for my hamster! It doesn’t get stuck in his hair, odor control is awesome and it makes spot cleaning his enclosure so much easier! Since he has a big enclosure I use this in about half of it, and I use a different bedding in his sleep area. He doesn’t sleep in this bedding, but he does play, dig and hide little goodies in it. This works great for us and I’ll purchase this again. The bag it comes in is pretty big too! Just sitting in the enclosure it doesn’t seem that dusty, but pouring it into the enclosure there was definite dust. So I’ll use with caution, but overall I’m pleased.… more

I use this for guinea pigs and I only need to change the bedding once a week. Very absorbent and no odor. Lighweight and goes a long way. At first the guinea pigs didn't like the feel of it so I lightly topped it with pine shavings.
Excellent Smell Control, Awful For Rabbits
on Nov 18, 2018
Bought this because it was cheap and got good reviews. Odor control is absolutely amazing, however my rabbit hates it. She has been sitting on top of her hideaway since last weekend, won't use her litter box and wants out of her cage. I changed it all out today and put a small amount in the bottom but mixed it with her old paper bedding. I also put some in the bottom of her liter box hoping for better odor control.

My rabbit loves this bedding and so do I. There's no dust and it is incredibly absorbent. It's nice and soft on my bun's feet and I don't find her constantly digging it around like I do with pellets and shavings. I've been using this stuff for over a year and I won't be switching. Great stuff!

I purchased this bedding to use in the litter pans for my rabbits. The make up of this bedding is not very durable and it is not absorbent. I would never buy or recommend this product. Very disappointed.
