This feeder is a disaster
By Gardenking on Jul 29, 2021
Set up was easy, design is convenient to load but socks are horrible. The mesh is too big and as the birds feed over half ends up in a pile on the ground. I thought I was getting an upgrade but I got a mess!

kaytee double finch socks
By Rkdunn on Mar 17, 2021
This feeder is perfect. It actually comes with 4 socks and I use a sock in a sock to keep the seed from falling out on to the ground and the birds love it. I actually have 2 and I go through a lot of seed. I sometimes have 20 birds at the time eating from this feeder. I definitely recommend it if you double up on the socks.

Easy to Use Feeder
By Rick on Mar 1, 2021
This feeder was very easy to set up and fill with seed. The small birds we were hoping to attract found it in a matter of hours and they come by a lot. The feeder is easy to fill and this one even came with two spare socks.

don't buy this
By AmyB on Feb 19, 2021
The mesh is too wide for the nyger seed recommended. I filled and hung both socks and within a hour half of it was on the ground. Great for the juncos, but expensive way to feed. I will not buy this again, I do not recommend it.

Seems to be well made and comes with 2 replacement socks. So far, we're very pleased.

My 2nd one

Perfect for small birds. It is usually packed. However, the dome became brittle and cracked. Easy to refill.

Outstanding feeder.
By Cardinali on Oct 23, 2020
We’ve used these feeder for 25 years. In that time we’ve owned two. Longevity isn’t a problem. We wash or replace the socks regularly to prevent disease. Depending on the time of year, we have as many as 14 finches on the two socks. Easy to assemble too. Highly recommend!

Awful Feeder
By Gardener on Jul 29, 2020
Constantly fell apart. Don’t bother. The fabric socks are held by a loose plastic ring. Poor design!
