Description

Feed your Finch a high-quality, protein-packed diet with Kaytee Supreme Finch Food. Finches need protein to help them grow strong and healthy. In the wild, they eat a variety of seed, but seeds are high in fat and carbohydrates which can lead to obesity and illness in caged birds. Kaytee Supreme Finch Food provides a well-balanced diet that combines natural seeds your bird loves with protein-rich whole grains, fiber, oils and nutrients and fortified pellets. Feed one to three tablespoons a day depending on species and size.

Feeding Instructions

Finch 1 - 3 Tablespoons

Adjust portions for proper weight maintenance and when feeding additional pets. Discard any uneaten food and clean dish before each feeding.

Transition Instructions

When introducing a new food, begin with a mixture of "old and new" food, gradually increasing the amount of new food over a 7 - 10 day period. This will prevent digestive upsets as well as allowing your pet to adjust to something new.

    House finches LOVE it!

By Gwen on Dec 12, 2020

Finally a food my finches will eat %100. Other bags have seeds too big and black seeds only wild birds like.. left all over the floor. Best for indoor finches not outdoor. (shells still end up on the floor though haha)

    Great bird food

By Birdielove on Dec 31, 2020

This is great because I have 9 finches and this is perfect for the birds. And it's very economical. The birds are very picky because they like their food plain so this is perfect.

This is top quality finch seed.

By coop on Oct 5, 2020

I raise finches, and have a hard time finding high quality seed at a reasonable price. Too much "finch" seed has big seeds like milo, uncut oats, and sunflower seed in it. This is all small seed, several different kinds of millet and canary grass seed. It's also a reasonable price, plus I can get it in large quantities. I will definitely be buying this from Chewy again.

By paola on Sep 26, 2020

My birds loved this food. I have 8 finches and a couple of diamond doves and although I buy pigeon food for the diamonds they are always pecking at the finches. my birds really love the variety of this food and it is better to buy the big bag you save a lot of money

    Finches will NOT eat this.

By Moosesmom on Jun 24, 2020

Hi. I feed birds every year but this is the first year I decided to put up Finch socks. I'm 51. I bought this along with the finch feeding station (which is wonderful - out of stock right now - but WONDERFUL) and waited. The finches wouldn't touch it. Nothing would. So I asked my 75 year old mom. She asked me if the seed was pure thistle seed or a mixture. I told her it was a mixture. She said that's why they wouldn't eat it. Finches don't like the mixture. So I made a trip to a local store (scared to death because I have MS and Lupus and we are battling Covid-19) and got a bag of plain thistle seed. Emptied the sock and filled it with the black thistle seed. Now? I get at least Hi. I feed birds every year but this is the first year I decided to put up Finch socks. I'm 51. Emptied the sock and filled it with the black thistle seed. Now? I get at least 50 finches every day. They LOVE the pure thistle seed. The other seed - I poured on the ground under the bird feeder. It made a weird patch of mushy ground and then turned my grass brown. I don't know what is in this stuff, but I feel a little guilty for putting it out there. I hope it didn't hurt the birds. Just know, before you buy this for your finch socks, that finches don't like it. They need pure thistle seed. Thanks, Chewy. Y'all are amazing and I love your products. This one, however, is NOT for the birds. ;) … more

    Delivery was not good

By Sherwood on Jul 6, 2020

Second time this has happened that the package is left in my driveway leaned up against a 3 foot gate. It should have been placed inside the gate it was leaned up against. There are no dogs in this yard.

    Lots of seed

By Destiny on May 4, 2020

I have 2 finches and I fill their seed cups almost every day. I worry when my seed supply gets low and right now, I don’t like to go to public stores to buy seed so I’m very relieved to purchase this large bag of seed for my birds.

    Bird selective

By Birding on Apr 30, 2020

This is the first time I have used this product and I like the size it comes in, however don't know if I will purchase as the finches are selective about whether or not they will eat it. It draws more sparrows than finches.
