Description

Feed your Rabbit an all-natural blend of hay that is low in calcium and protein with Kaytee Timothy Complete Alfalfa Free Fiber Diet Rabbit Food. Rabbits need hay to aid in the digestion process, keep their teeth trim and satisfy their need to chew. In fact, hay should make up 75 percent of their daily diet. And while rabbits love alfalfa hay, it contains higher levels of calcium and protein which can lead to urinary tract issues and obesity in adult rabbits. Kaytee Timothy Complete Alfalfa Free Fiber Diet Rabbit Food is made with fiber-rich, sun-cured timothy hay and other ingredients plus vitamins and minerals. The long strand hay satisfies your pet's need to chew and helps keep their teeth clean and healthy. Feed with your pet's regular hay, pellets and fresh produce.

Better for their health than alfalfa pellets

    By on

Your rabbits won't run to the bowl for these pellets like they will for alfalfa pellets, but these pellets are so much better for their health. Take the time to allow your rabbits to get used to them. Our bunny was hooked on a diet of alfalfa pellets (because we didn't know better) and we never saw her eat the timothy hay we gave her. She is several years old, and she started having digestive issues that caused large quantities of dried poo to accumulate on her underside and also incontinence that led to urine burn, taking the fur off her inner legs, despite our grooming. Per instructions at a reputable rabbit care website, we switched her to a full hay and veggies diet for awhile (she hated Your rabbits won't run to the bowl for these pellets like they will for alfalfa pellets, but these pellets are so much better for their health. Per instructions at a reputable rabbit care website, we switched her to a full hay and veggies diet for awhile (she hated us) then finally started adding these pellets. While she didn't love them like the fancy alfalfa pellets (you know the kind--with colorful pieces of dried fruit, nuts, etc.), her digestive problems are gone and her fur has grown back. She still needs help with grooming, but she's a much healthier bunny. … more

It's great to find pellets that our bunnies love in addition to their hay. All of their dietary needs are met by Kaytee products with happy munching and zoomies.

It was just what I needed for my rabbits

    By on

I like this rabbit food, it was just what I needed for 4 of my rabbits. But one out of the 4 rabbit's didn't like it. But its a good food for the other 3 rabbits. But over all this food is really good for your rabbits. As for the fussy rabbit l wood try something different. I do like this rabbit food for all rabbits. It is a good choice.

    Bunny Hunger Strike

    By on

I haven't had a bun in almost 25 years. Rescued this guy a few weeks back. Wanted to get him on a better diet. Nope. Did a slow transition to the new food. He went on a full on hunger strike. Sadly this didn't work for me and my apparently very demanding bun.

    Both bunnies approve

Both my bunnies love this pellet. It's a good option because it's made with Timothy instead of Alfalfa. Highly recommend!

    Great feed!

    By on

Our pet bunnies are picky about pelleted feed which is why I decided to try this brand. I started mixing small amounts with he old feed to gradually switch them over but both bunnies would sort through their feeder to pick out the new pellets & they refused to eat the other kind so they obviously really like this brand! They also used to make a big mess scattering feed pellets all around their hutch & I've noticed they don’t do that anymore & they’re feeder looks like it’s been licked clean everyday! Wish I’d discovered this brand a lot sooner!

    Product great- package fair

    By on

This food is GREAT for my bun. I feel confident knowing that it’s not full of corn or alfalfa or other filler ingredients that could potentially be harmful to my bun. The only downside is that I have never had a bag where the resealable zipper didn’t break.
