Adjust portions for proper weight maintenance and when feeding additional pets. Discard any uneaten food and clean dish before each feeding.
When introducing a new food, begin with a mixture of "old and new" food, gradually increasing the amount of new food over a 7 - 10 day period. This will prevent digestive upsets as well as allowing your pet to adjust to something new.

My guinea pigs will not touch this stuff. Maybe my piggies are just picky but I have a whole bag unopened because of it.

Rocks in Food
By Bridget on Apr 4, 2020
I would not recommend this food. After giving my piggies Oxbow for the past few years and looking for another food to add to the rotation I do NOT recommend this food. I ended up dumping most of the pellets each day as my pigs didn't prefer them. But as the food bag got lower there were rocks in the bottom. I'm guessing they were there for the company to try to meet the weight on the bag...I'm thankful I was awake enough to notice and pick them out.

Still Undecided
By Momof2pigs on Feb 8, 2020
I have 2 pigs and neither will touch the long green/blue things (pictured) so that's a waste. One pig always looks for something specific (I think the orange things) so he'll bury his head in food looking for them which pushes all the food out of bowl and makes a mess. For these two reasons, I'm debating whether or not to go back to plain pellets without the extras, still undecided. Other than that, they seem to like it.

By liley on Nov 21, 2019
to be fully honest, i love how my guinea pigs love these pellets. this is the only one that they’ll eat without missing a single nub. on the down side, theres alot of crumbs at the bottom but it’s inevitable
