Description

Keep your pet's habitat dry and odor free with Kaytee Walnut Natural Bird Litter. Despite a reputation for being smelly, birds are actually fastidious. Odor is often caused by poor quality litter or infrequent habitat cleanings. Kaytee Walnut Natural Bird Litter is made of natural crushed walnut shells that are highly absorbent and help eliminate odors. And because it doesn't stick or cling to cages or habitats, it makes cleaning easy. Use as litter in cages with grates separating litter from birds. Better than liners or paper!

By Sandy on Sep 28, 2021

This bird litter is so much better than cage liners. It looks nice and is a little absorbent in case of water spills, and is easy to scoop. It isn't dusty, either. I dump it out in the flower gardens when it needs to be replaced so there really isn't any garbage other than the bag itself.

Bag was busted open when I opened it. The litter works, but the shipping was highly unimpressive

    wrong one and torn

By sheriberry on Nov 29, 2020

I have never ordered pet supplies online. I use a Kaytee product that I THOUGHT I ordered... I ordered the walnut because in the photo it looks like what I use. What I actually use is the corn cob one... so it was my fault that I ordered the wrong one. What came was slightly torn so there is walnut all over everything... not sure if I will order again from Chewy...

Not for everybody - only birds with a grate in their cage

    By MomGraham999 on Apr 8, 2020

It would be helpful to note in the description online that this product comes with a warning that you must use a grate in the cage to prevent the bird from coming in contact with it. If you use a grate, the litter is clean and seems dust-free. It is made of wood and the granulation is finer than sand, which means it would stick to any food dropped in it. It doesn't work for me because I have a parrot that insists on throwing his food out of the dish and foraging for it.

    Order received.

By Jayne on Apr 29, 2020

I just received my first order from you today and I was very happy with it. Although, one bag of the walnut shells had a hole in it and leaked all over in the box. I couldn't recover all of it, because most of it had stuck to the packaging tape from the inside.
