Instructions

Rinse well in cold running water. Place 1 cup per 100 gallons of aquarium water in a fine mesh bag or filter chamber directly in water flow. Make sure water flows through the material and not around it. For best results, replace carbon monthly in freshwater aquariums and use intermittently in marine aquariums. NOTE: Carbon naturally removes trace minerals from water. It will continue to do so even after it appears to be expired. For best results, use carbon filtration intermittently and regularly replenish trace mineral.

Pelletized carbon - great for large tank filtration

    By Mamafirebird on Jan 31, 2020 top100Contributor

I run a 350 gal/hr Eheim filtration canister for my 75 gal goldfish tank. These pellets have very little dust or crumbs - excellent, since that stuff can damage the impeller for the Eheim. Goldfish are notorious producers of ammonia waste, so for a closed, indoor tank system, it's important to keep the water clean so my home doesn't smell of fish tank water. Between this carbon and zeolite chips, my tank water stays clean, no matter how much my fish enjoy digging around in the bottom substrate pebbles.
