What exactly is “medical grade foam”? Is it anywhere’s near as dense as memory foam?
Answer by ChewyJan 03, 2019
The medical grade foam used in this bed is a 5 inch thick memory foam.

My first K&H ortho bed was wonderful. 2 years later I ordered two new ones and neither dog would use it because it makes a crinkle crunching leaf type noise. They won't get on it at all. Does this bed make noise?
Answer by ChewyMay 19, 2021
This bed does not make crinkling noise when used.

Does this bed have any flexibility for shaping a bit, or to bend up a little on the sides? My dog crate is 28" wide and the medium size is 30" wide so I need for the mattress to bend or curve up 1" on each side to fit. The length is perfect at 40"
Answer by ChewyApr 30, 2019
This bed will have some flexibility, to fit into a slightly smaller space, as it is made of foam.

Whats the dimension for the large and medium size bed?
Answer by ChewySep 20, 2018
The dimensions for the Small are 20 inches long x 30 inches wide x 6.5 inches high. The dimensions for the Medium are 30 inches long x 40 inches wide x 6.5 inches high. The dimensions for the Large bed are 40 inches long x 50 inches wide x 6.5 inches high.

My dog loves this new bed!!

My dog is 12 years old and he loves his new orthopedic bed. He suffers from arthritic pain in his hip and legs and this bed along with some laser treatment from the vet, have really helped his condition improve. He has one in the bedroom and in the living room. These beds rock!!

Great dog bed

I purchased this bed after some hesitance based on previous reviews complaints regarding the zipper. The zipper on this bed appears to be metal and the cover has been washed a few times so far and I have had no issues with it. The bed is soft, yet supportive and both boys are constantly sharing it for naps.

A Perfect Choice

My Kenzie loves her new big bed! It’s very plush and gives her lots of support. For a senior dog especially, I would highly recommend this bed.

Great for all ages

Pricey but worth it, great bed for my fussy 19yo Papillion who has to have a pillow top. Easy to wash as well!

Excellent bed, worth every penny!

I have two older large dogs. Vader is 11 and weighs about 90 lbs and Luke is 9 and weighs right at 100 lbs. I’ve bought several different orthopedic beds for them over the years. Over the past year, Vader stopped laying on his bed, which I thought was odd. We purchased a new couch that is down filled, and Vader started sleeping on the couch. I saw this bed and bought two of them, hoping Vader would like it since it has the feather top. He loves it!!!! Luke also loves his. It gives great support (he has a slipped disc in his back and just had his knee replaced) and he sleeps through the night comfortably (previous beds he would get up every couple of hours and do circles or dig at the bed to try to make it more comfortable). I recommend these beds to anyone.

Looks great, didn't please pups.

I don't see anything wrong with this bed (although the size large really wasn't big enough for 80# GSD), but neither dog would use it. They got on it when told to, but then off as soon as possible. Disappointing.

My own bed

Nefertiti shared the bed with her brother Maximus. It was big enough but Max wasn’t a sharing type of a guy. So I either stole it or slept on the floor, I didn’t like my Mom’s bed. One night Mom set up this bed across from Max and coaxed me on. I love it! I let Max borrow it now while I take his, or we play musical beds but I now have a bed of my own

Just buy it!

I first bought a version of this bed over 4 years ago. I have since purchased a total of three of these beds for senior dogs. Eventually, after about 3 years of constant use, the foam will start to get compacted. But it takes it awhile to get there. The covers have held up, and they wash extremely well. Not sure why people are getting broken zippers. I've washed all three covers probably two dozen times each (because seniors have accidents) and not one single zipper has broken. I don't usually zip the zipper before washing either. I have learned to put a blanket on top of the bed, so I just wash the blanket and don't have to take the cover completely off, because putting it back on can be a bit annoying. The foam kinda grips the cover as you're trying to put it on making it hard to pull it on. So if you do plan on washing the cover frequently, it's easier to just put a blanket/towel on top and wash the blanket rather than remove the cover. Anyway, my dogs have loved this bed! Your dogs will love it too!

Great Dog Bed

This is a great dog bed. My older dog loves it. It gives comfort to his arthritic hips.
